ffxi quest:A Generous General  

Summary

Gu'Zho has traveled to Movalpolos to become a mercenary. However, he cannot find the box to submit his application. Your job is to take Gu'Zho's letter to the box and lead the Goblin serjeant back to where Thunderblade will be waiting.

Walkthrough

• Start the quest by entering Oldton Movalpolos from the K-6 entrance of North Gustaberg, which will give you a cut scene with Gu'Zho Thunderblade. You will be given a choice to start the quest or not. If you decide to not do the quest, you will not be able to start the quest again until the next Conquest Tally.
• Speak to Faulpie in the Tanners' Guild in Southern San d'Oria. She will ask for the following:
• Buffalo Hide
• Sheep Leather
• 10,000 gil
• After you trade the above items and gil to Faulpie, you will have to wait until the next in-game day to continue. Zone and talk to Faulpie again for another cut scene. She will give you a Goblin Coif Cutting and the recipe for a Goblin Coif.
• Using the Goblin Coif Cutting, craft or have crafted for you a Goblin Coif. Neither of these items may be sold or bought on the Auction House.
• Go back to Oldton Movalpolos through the same entrance with the Goblin Coif equipped to start another cut scene in which you will get a Goblin Recommendation Letter(Key Item).
• Go to G-8 in Oldton Movalpolos and check the Iron Box with the Goblin Coif still equipped. This will spawn the following mobs:
• Goblin Preceptor
• Grimoire Guru Grimogek
• Dread Dealing Dredodak
• Bugbear Porterman x4
• Goblin Preceptor is the main notorious monster. You may sleep the others while you fight him.
• After the Goblin Preceptor is beaten, check the Iron Box again for another cut scene.
• Trade your Goblin Coif to the Iron Box for another cut scene and receive Choplix's Coif in its place.
• Zone in and out of Oldton Movalpolos for one last cut scene that will end the quest.
• You will be rewarded with a Gold Beastcoin

Notes

• Faulpie will sell you additional Goblin Coif Cuttings for 100,000 gill each.
• The Goblin Coif requires the following skills to craft:
• Leathercraft (75)
• Smithing (38)
• Clothcraft (27)
• Of the following quests, you may only have one active at a time:
• An Understanding Overlord?
• A Moral Manifest?
• A Generous General?
• An Affable Adamantking?
