Analysis

Omerta blocks the use of spells.
This includes all forms of magic (white/black/blue/summoning), Ninjutsu, and Songs.

How to remove the effect

In Nyzul Isle, this effect may be inflicted on a party after choosing between moving on to the floor on the left or on the right.
Sometimes the effect will grant a bonus instead of a penalty, only on one attribute, and will last until the party moves on to the next floor.
