Imagine the most complex, full-LEGO-catalog, cross-genre castle assault you have ever seen from a LEGO convention. LEGO Knights on LEGO horses and LEGO Soldiers all charging the battlements, supported by LEGO catapults and LEGO tanks while LEGO jets scream by overhead and LEGO spaceships blast by. Now, imagine that all that plastic was animated and could actually move on its own and you have a pretty good idea of LEGO Universe Online. Take a look at the trailer, below, to see and you are gonna want to build a Minifig (what they call characters) too!

Now, while this game is intended for safe play by children there should be plenty to interest adults, too.

FEATURES

• Quick Building: Pre-designed objects can be built with the push of a button. This is what happens when your Minifig builds his car. Yo push one button and he pulls out some LEGO energy and tosses it before him, it turns into LEGO bricks and, in seconds, builds the car in front of him.
• Modular Building: Quickly build a new object out of multiple pre-designed modules to create a unique version.
• Free Building: Build something totally new, literally brick by brick.
• Destructible Objects: LEGO models that glow can be smashed to possibly reveal loot.
• Hidden Treasure: Overcoming a challenge may reveal coins anywhere in LEGO Universe.
• PvE: Battle creatures to open more content.
• PvP: Compete against other players in battle or in games of skill.
• Social Interactions: Including grouping, guilds, PvP competitions, SpeedChat (preset phrases), Mail, FullChat (probably available only to adults)
• Customizing: Not limited to your Minifig, the very world will have options that allow for permanent, cooperative building.

The following appeared on the Connect page of the LEGO Universe site and seems a clear indication that LEGO Universe will be similar to Free Realms in its methods of preventing unsafe interactions with children.
