During this time, no gods bestowed their grace upon Norrathians save one, who in visited Norrath in secret and hid special prizes from the planes about Norrath to aid what was left of the populace. Some historians theorize that it may even have been Quellious in disguise. Either way, over the years it has developed into a tradition celebrated by all Norrathians.
The Dark Elves and other evil races also participate in this festival. No one really knows why, it could just be that everyone loves to get presents. Naturally, to preserve their image, they maintain that they aren't really receiving gifts, but rewards earned through their own superior skills.
Frostfell has four significant days: Kinship Day - A time for families and friends to spend together, celebrating and renewing bonds; Feasting Day - A shared day of feasting on all the bounty Norrathians have collected throughout the year (a favourite day of halflings!); Gifting Day - Everyone gives and receives presents; Frostfell Day - The final day of celebration, spent in song (or for those races who can't be seen singing, quiet contemplation), parades, dancing, and other fun winter activities.
Frostfell is the Live Event for December, introduced in 2005, in celebration of winter holidays.
Scattered about the city zones you will find harvestable stacks of snowballs. Gather them to get a stack of 20 . You have to wait for a short cooldown timer before you can harvest another 20, and they stack in 100s. When you target a mob, or another player, and use the snowball you will throw a snowball at the target causing them to run one of several different animations including shaking a fist at the thrower or being knocked down! Get your guild together for a Frostfell party and have a snowball fight contest!
Additionally, there is a fruitcake in the Frostfell Wonderland Village that you can harvest for 20 Sturdy Fruitcake which can also be thrown!
Players can receive a present every 18 hours during Frostfell. In 2008 Gardy Giftgiver has retired (i.e. some big meanie pummeled him senseless and destroyed all his snowglobes), so Santa Glug in Frostfell Wonderland Village has stepped in to take up the slack! Find a list of past and present presents at Frostfell Gifts.
In 2006 SOE introduced the Frostfell Wonderland Village. This zone is a copy of the ice flow area at the back of Everfrost where the Icegill goblins are, but closed off. To get there you need to find a magic closet (or wardrobe) in one of the cities.

All the 2006 content is back (except for the Frostfell Candycane Grab'n'Tag), along with a new story centered on a Frostfell-loving Arasai with the unlikely name of Queen Bunny.
Queen Bunny is very upset about the commercialization of Frostfell! In fact, she is so mad she asks you to destroy the McScroogle Corp.'s factory to stop it!
with apologies to Charles Dickens
The 2006 Frostfell storyline centers upon Mr. McScroogle.[1]
In Qeynos Harbor, West Freeport, Haven, Kelethin, Gorowyn and Neriak, visit the giant Frostfell Tree and find a magic wardrobe! As in Narnia, you step through (click) the wardrobe to be transported to the Frostfell Wonderland Village! Find Mr. McScroogle on an island at the back of the village and, when you talk to him, you are transported to his home AS HIM! You will be visited by 3 ghosts of Frostfell past, present and future.
Additional Quests 2006 also introduced the "Feelin' Gifty" and "A Gigglegibber's Work Is Never Done" quests.
