This zone is, for the Asmodians, what the Aetherogenetics Lab is for the Elyos.

For Elyos the zone is required for The Research Journal, a quest in the Xenophon Weapon series of quests.

There is a quest required for initial access to this zone. If you never get that quest, Asmodians above level 40 and Elyos above level 41 can enter regardless.

Patch 1.9 increased the drop rates for the boss monsters in this zone.
