After this week's PST -- conveniently located at the botton of this article -- Josh "Lore" Allen wanted to explore the concept of fun in games.
If you are repeating an activity for its reward rather than any intrinsic enjoyment you are getting from engaging in it, then you're not really having fun.
So just what is fun? And if we can pin that little idea down, then how does a game successfully include it -- thereby making it a good game? Lore goes through the origins of fun, the psychology behind it and how it applies to various games and how they promote fun to entertain you.
