The moogles of the M.H.M.U. are in desperate need of your assistance! In what seems like a time-honored tradition of the annual Feast of Swords celebration, sets of magical Genji armor have been pilfered by thieves, and only with the aid of adventurers can they be recovered! So prepare to take up your Ibushi Shinai and be imbued by unparalleled moogle magic, because the Feast of Swords will arrive in the starting nations on Thursday, April 26th and continue on until May 10th!

Want to start coordinating your efforts to aid in the armor recovery, or just feel like talking about this latest celebration installment? Feel free to do so on the ZAM forums!

Job Adjustments

Did you feel left out after last month's content update because your favorite job on Final Fantasy XI didn't see some adjustments as far as merit abilities? You can call off the angry mobs, because a second batch of job adjustments have been announced! Samurai, Ninja, Dragoon, Blue Mage, Corsair, Puppetmaster, Dancer, and Scholar will all be seeing revisions and additions to some of their merit abilities to give them a noticeable kick. Not to be outdone, the elemental spirits for Summoner will also be seeing changes, with new spells being added to their repertoire!

We'd like to know what your opinion is regarding these planned changes, so feel free to stop over at the ZAM forums to give us your two cents!

With the hype surrounding last month's version update slowly subsiding, players are looking forward to what the future has in store for Final Fantasy XI. Though right now details are scarce, the fine folks of the Community Team have given us glimpses at what awaits us.

The overwhelming difficulty of the Legion battle system released in last month's version update are under review from the development team, most notably a revision on the HP levels of enemies for fights involving only 18 players. For those wanting a more old-school feel to the events they partake in, the Limbus battle system looks to be receiving an expansion similar to the recent addition of the Nyzul Isle Uncharted Region.

Besides these changes, players can look forward to the implementation of new icons for status effects such as Regen and Refresh, as well as two-hour abilities. These icons, in addition to showing up in the status effect bar near the top of the screen, may also appear as image supplements for macros, letting you use an image to represent a particular spell or job ability rather than just a name.

Lastly, though this is still in the discussion stage, plans are in the works to allow players to view maps for areas that players currently aren't in, as well as allowing for players to use markers on those maps.

When new details on these and other plans for Final Fantasy XI are made public, we'll be sure to keep you updated! If you want to talk about the changes to Legion, the upcoming "Neo-Limbus", the map changes, or the new icons, feel free to do so on the ZAM forums!

After weeks of deliberation over the number of entries submitted to paint a grand tale of the most famous of pom-pommed travelers, the contest for the Most Interesting Moogle in Vana'diel has come to an end. The Community Team admits that being able to choose just five winners among all the entries, but the five chosen were the best of the best. Congratulations to those five, for giving The Most Interesting Moogle stories fitting his amazing adventures, as well as the Nomad Moogle Rods you will be receiving!
