What's Hot in Final Fantasy XI!

With the April version update to Final Fantasy XI still in its infancy, Square Enix is already looking ahead to the next major changes planned for the game. Introduced in the past version update, a series of new weapons from Delve began to cause quite a stir, easily overthrowing the Relic, Mythic, and Empyrean weapons of the time. To remedy this, changes have been announced to drastically increase the power of these older weapons in their completed form, as well as to allow completed weapons from Walk of Echoes to unlock the weaponskill for use with any weapon of that type.

Additionally, several planned job adjustments have been announced, including a significant overhaul to the elemental magic system, new equipment for augmenting the abilities of Dragoon's wyverns, Beastmaster's pets, Summoner's avatars, and Puppetmaster's automatons, and Artifact Armor, merits, and limit break quests for the new Geomancer and Rune Fencer jobs.

New Info Added to the Seekers of Adoulin Site!

Already mastered the savage Naakuals and not finding Skirmish that challenging anymore? Worry not, for a brand new battle system, Delve, has been revealed on FFXI's official Seekers of Adoulin site. Designed for up to 18 battle-hardened players, adventurers will fight against powerful Notorious Monsters in waves in order to draw out the boss for the area. Of course, all good systems need rewards, and the new Mikinaak, Manibohzo, and Bokwus armor sets look to be well worth it!

What's Hot in Final Fantasy XI!

The April version update for Final Fantasy XI is fast approaching, and the Official Forums are buzzing with information about what players can expect to see. In their ongoing work to revamp the enmity system, a large number of job abilities and magic spells will see a decrease in their enmity generation, and plans are being made to adjust how enmity works in relation to commands for Summoner's avatars.

A number of changes will be implemented to Rune Fencer, increasing the enmity generation from some of its special abilities, increasing the potency of elemental resistance from its runes, as well as decreasing the recast time of a number of its job abilities.

For those that are fans of the Reive systems, a number of changes are planned as well. The Key Items to gain access to the Wildskeeper fights will see a reduction in Bayld cost in relation to your rank in each Coalition, and the rate that colonization percentages decrease as a result of inactive Coalition Reives will be reduced, allowing for easier colonization progress.
