New Version Update Forthcoming

 After many months of speculation and debate, the release date for the next major version update for Final Fantasy XI has been released. Seeing the introduction of the new Nyzul Isle Uncharted Regiongs, the implementation of the final Magian trials for the Relic, Mythic, and Empyrean weapons, a host of new job adjustments, and much more, players can expect to see this new content hit the servers on February 14th!

Job Adjustments

A series of new job adjustments are slated for release for several popular jobs for Final Fantasy XI. In addition to ertain merited abilities for Warrior, Thief, Ranger, Bard, Paladin, and Dark Knight seeing improvements as far as overall potency, recast times, and additional effects,  the Analyzer attachment for Puppetmaster will also be seeing revisions, including an increase to maximum damage reduction and the effect that Earth Maneuvers have. Lastly, the full details for the planned changes for the "Breaker" and "Circle" effects of Paladin, Dark Knight, Samurai, and Dragoon have been released!

Since the transfer of accounts from Playonline to the Square Enix Account system, the different payment options available for streamlined service was a subject of constant discussion. As a follow up to the November 24th announcement of allowing for people to purchase specific Crysta amounts, today it was announced that players will now be able to be billed directly from their credit or debit cards.

Today, a series of upcoming adjustments for Final Fantasy XI have been announced today. The macro palette size and position options will be made available under the Misc. 2 options under the Config Menu, certain Healing and Ninjutsu magic will be seeing reductions in casting time, the formula for Cure and Waltz effects will be adjusted, and Voidwatch will see some revisions, including the addition of the Notorious Monster Kalasutrax to Beaucedine Glacier and revision of Area of Effect damage for players and pets not directly targeted by spells or abilities.

Amorous Affectations

With February fast approaching, it's no wonder that love is beginning to fill the air. To celebrate the arrival of the most romantic of holidays, the ever-festive Moogles of Vana'diel are getting ready for another Valentione's Day event! Starting February 1st and running through to the 15th, those winged deliverers of merry mirth will be appearing in San d'Oria, Bastok, and Windurst to help in the celebration. Be sure not to miss it!

Job Adjustments: Summoner/Scholar

 In the latest of job adjustment news for Final Fantasy XI, the Summoner and Scholar jobs will be seeing some revisions in the near future. To allow for more efficient use of their Elemental summons, the MP cost merit point enhancements will reduce MP cost by an additional two points per merit. For Scholar, the Altruism, Equanimity, Focalization, and Tranquility strategems will see their strategem charges reduced from two to one.

 Prepare for some "stunning" news ladies and gentlemen, as the Paladin and Dark Knight jobs will see revisions made to their special "Bash" job abilities. Both Weapon Bash and Shield Bash will see an overall reduction in the recast time for the ability, and will see changes to the merit category for the recast value of these abilities to balance these revisions.

Job Adjustments: Dragoon

 Following the announcement earlier this week of upcoming updates for Corsair, Square Enix has released details on planned adjustments for the dragon-slaying specialists of Final Fantasy XI, the Dragoon. In addition to new and expanded support breaths for wyverns, the two-hour effect Spirit Surge will be adjusted, the recast and effects of jump job abilities will be changed, and the job's attributes will be increased.

Corsair Job Adjustments

Make ready to set sail, as Final Fantasy XI's favorite pirate job, the Corsair, will be seeing several new job adjustments in the near future! Several of the effects associated with the ability Phantom Roll will be seeing increases to their overall potency, and some, such as Healer's Roll and Gallant Roll, will see a complete change to their effect, making them far more viable than their current effects.
