It's that time of the year when those of us without sweethearts bake ourselves heart-shaped cakes and eagerly look forward to the cards from our grandparents since we know we won't be getting any from people our own age! That's right: it's almost Valentine's Day! But even if you're spending the holiday alone, your favorite MMORPGs are more than willing to distract you with a variety of events and mini-games. ZAM takes a quick look at how our favorite titles are celebrating the abundance of love; read on to see what's waiting for you in your game of choice!

Valentine's Day can be a lonely holiday if you have no one to spend it with, but Perfect World Entertainment wants you to know that you're never alone as long as you are playing one of their online titles. Throughout the various games, players can acquire "wedding fashion, romantic items, spectacular mounts, mystery boxes and more."

• Forsaken World players will recieve a Valentine's Day card with random items.
• Ether Saga Odyssey players can enter a screenshot contest to win XP and bonus items.
• Rusty Hearts is putting on an art contest with the prize being Roselle Vegerius.
• Perfect World International has GM's interacting with players and giving them rare mounts.
• Jade Dynasty features a wedding event and items for marriage-minded avatars.
• War of the Immortals players can collect chocolate and trade it for additional XP.

The inhabitants of Middle-earth have never looked so good! Fashion Week has begun for players in Lord of the Rings Online. From February 9th to February 16th, grab your best RP gear and participate in various community and in-game events. 

Think your wardrobe is the creme of the crop? Then submit a screenshot of your finest threads to the Fashion Screenshot Contest for a chance at two special community awards! There will be two awards: one handed out by the developers, and the other from the fashionista community iteself.

But be careful, there is not just the screenshot contest keeping an eye on you! The Fashion Maven will be walking the many trails of Middle-earth between February 10th and 12th. If she spots you and approves of the attire you have on, you could be awarded with the title "The Fashionable." Wear a fashion faux pas, however, and you'll be known as "The Eye-sore". 

There are also many lotteries going on during fashion week, so if you want the latest fashionable items of gold and silver be sure to follow @LoTRO on Twitter! 

Love is in the air and Gala Networks Europe, operator of the gPotato.eu portal, wants to make sure you don't feel alone by holding romantic events across its MMO titles. A huge list of special events, item drops, and all manner of other lovely happenings will be coming to Canaan Online, Castle of Heroes, Dragonica, Flyff, Rappelz, and Terra Militaris.

Canaan Online is having events to win marriage items on February 14th. These will allow players to receive in-game experience and money gained from being in a party with a marriage partner. There are also fabulous in-game prizes up for grabs for players who submit pictures of their real-life pets in a competition to find the cutest pet owned by a Canaan Online player.

Castle of Heroes will be celebrating Valentine's Day from February 14th through February 19th with a special two-part quest based on Romeo and Juliet. There is also a Facebook competition where GMs will post a funny picture and the players must declare their undying love for the subject matter in the comments. The best five answers will win various in-game prizes.

Dragonica will see the return of the Cookie Factory mission map. This comes with two all new modes and two never before seen bosses. Additionally, new Cupid outfits are available as well as a new vending machine that has been stocked with new items.

Flyff will be getting a visit from both a devil and an angel, as well as an appearance from a special monster, the Love Thief. This will last from the February 9th to the 23rd. Killing the Love Thief will reward players with pieces of a broken heart, which can be given to the angel or devil. Collecting 100 pieces will reward players with Loyalty Chocolate, 3,000 EXP, or a special ticket. These tickets will be counted at the end of the event, and the side that gave away the most tickets will receive boxes of rewards with cool items, such as the Black Panther Hoverbike, Pet tickets, and Cloak Exchange tickets.

Rappelz is giving players the opportunity to win a special "Love" Looting Pet with an Outfit of their choice by creating a short story along with an in game screenshot that expresses their feelings for the person they love. You can also combine special new herb and flower drops to receive a special lucky box that is used to acquire powerful items. This event will last from February 7th to the 14th.

And finally, Terra Militaris players will receive the love of the Roman gods of war and knowledge from February 9th to February 16th. This event will bring double EXP for the entire event and become an extraordinary triple EXP on February 14th. The auction house will show its love by removing taxes for the week and you can engage in battle at lower level requirements in neutral areas.
