DC Universe Online

Introduction

DC Universe Online is currently under development by Sony Online Entertainment in conjunction with DC Comics and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game promises to offer a "dramatic online setting where players can enter the DC Universe and battle alongside or against their favorite DC Comics heroes and villains including such icons as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker, as well as many other fan favorites such as Green Lantern, The Flash, Catwoman and Martian Manhunter. The action and drama will play out in such well-known locations as Gotham City and Metropolis among others."

Famed Comic book illustrator Jim Lee is involved with the project taking the reigns as the Executive Creative Director. In addition, Comic book fans will be excited to know that comic book legends Geoff Johns and Marv Wolfman are both also actively involved in the project. The game is expected to launch sometime in 2010 DC Universe Online is expected to bring a new audience to MMORPG's.
