I will be attempting to kill Glavoid, the boss of Abyssea - Tahrongi on POSTPONED. This is the most time consuming boss. Glavoid is spawned by trading 4 KIs to the ??? at I-5. The KIs are:
Here are the specifics:
Fat-lined Cockatrice Skin
For this, we must kill Alectryon, which is spawned by trading a Cockatrice Tailmeat and Quivering Eft Egg (items) to ??? @ (H-8) by the big tree. The Quivering Eft Egg is dropped by Abas (which requires a normal eft egg), and the cockatrice tailmeat is dropped by normal cockatrice mobs.
Sodden Sandworm Husk
Minhocao is our target here, located at (I-5)-(H-6) with a 10 min - 30 min repop time.
Luxuriant Manticore Mane
Muscaliet drops this. To pop him we need to trade a Smooth Whisker (item) and a Resilient Mane to the ??? at J-6. The Smooth Whisker (item) comes from Tefenet (spawned by trading a Shocking Whisker (from a normal coeurl) to the ??? at (G-6)), and the Resilient Mane drops from a regular manticore.
Sticky Gnat Wing
This is dropped by Adze, which is a timed pop amongst Gnats at (G-5)/ (H-5), repop time 10-15 minutes.
So, to recap, we have to kill the following mobs:
- Glavoid
- Alectryon
- Normal Cockatrice mob
- Abas
- Normal Eft mob
- Minhocao
- Muscaliet
- Normal manticore mob
- Tefenet
- Normal coeurl mob
- Adze
Thats a total of 6 NMs, 4 normal mobs, and the boss. Whew! Everyone hates Glavoid!
