Just a heads up to those who check server forums when interested in a server change.
You'd be well advised to avoid transferring to Unicorn. I recently transferred to Unicorn from Phoenix for the opportunity for some change, to meet new people, and to get a "fresh" start since I had somewhat recently returned to game from a long break. After doing a little bit of research, the consensus was that all servers are somewhat equal now in terms of population and what goes on in them. No one server is better or different then the other. This couldn't be farther from the truth.
The couple of weeks after my return and was still on Phoenix, the game ran just like I remembered it. Well populated with both English and JP players, and plenty of parties running almost around the clock from Valkurm Dunes to Caedarva Mines. After spending a few weeks on Phoenix getting acquainted with the game, I decided to transfer since all my friends had moved on. Like many others, I wanted a fresh start, and I blindly chose Unicorn.
Now, party invites are nonexistent. If you're looking to level up a character in 10-37 is near impossible. Even at peak hours the Dunes is often empty. Qufim Island and the Jungles are usually the same, with most activity going on for the various personal things people need done in Whitegate.
Just be forewarned that after you transfer, you are locked on the server for 90 days. Transferring to Unicorn you will find that you're wasting tons of amount of time seeking for an experience points party, and since being new to the server, you just don't know anyone that well.
It's somewhat depressing, as I was excited getting back into the game. Now more than anything I wish I would have stayed on Phoenix, for, if nothing else, I was actually able to play the game with other people.
Take it from someone who learned the hard way; do not make the same mistake I did and transfer to the Unicorn server.
