Lazanos Stolen

I regret to have to say this, but for anyone who knew Lazanos, he no longer has his character. Someone hacked his account, sold his stuff, and moved the character to the Unicorn server. And because they changed the CC number, Laz can't verify the credit card and can't get the account returned to him. It seems that SE is offering no recourse. If anyone has any suggestions on what might work to restore his account it would be appreciated, but for now it seems that his only option is to start over, and I'm not sure if he's going to. I hope he does.

Laz was a good friend of mine (we made it to 75 our first times in a static) many years ago. I wish him the best, whatever the outcome.

Tell him to file a complaint with his credit card company. Have him tell his cc company that he has been charged for years by SE and they are saying he never made use of their services. His cc company will open an inquiry with SE and question them as to why their customer was charged for something that was never used ie his character.

This will take some time, probably around two to three months or so before he will see any result. SE will get put inbetween a rock and a hard place. They either have to give his character back or they will have to refund all the money that they have charged him over the years. Wish him luck for me, but this is really the only option he has left.
