To add something maybe useful:
In regard to the NA endgame, i have heard people talk about how little Ramuh's HNMLSs have achieved in comparison to other servers. These same people cite as evidence the fact that while Ramuh's premier HNMLSs have maybe 3 or 4 fully upgraded relic weapons, big HNMLSs on other servers have as many as 8+. Also, some people claim that NA LSs on Ramuh have not been terribly productive as far as CoP wyrm BCs are concerned (bahamut and ouryu), and have had perhaps more trouble than they should have with these fights. The reason, they claim, is that these shells are often held back by internal drama or poor leadership.
Also, recently i got word that some NA HNMLSs on ramuh were dumping lots of their members on account of players immigrating who have better gear and more useful jobs leveled. Take what you will from this, but if this rumor is true, it strikes me as a horrendously crappy thing to do to one's members.
As for JP endgame, I don't know a whole lot. Had a couple NA friends who were in a JP HNMLS (NOIR) who wound up being upset because the LS gave items to senior members who didn't have jobs able to equip those items. All the while, there were newer members who DID have the jobs leveled and could really have put the gear to use. But i guess whether seniority or utility takes precedence is entirely a matter of the goals of the LS and the perspective of its leaders. I get the impression that seniority makes more sense to JPs, while utility more to NAs.
I don't know if you craft or intend to level a tradeskill, rizzle, but there's probably a direct relationship to the cursed gear market and the productivity of HNMLSs. Obviously, the more driven and successful the HNMLSs on your server, the more abjurations they'll be getting, therefore the more demand for cursed items, which in turn, of course, leads to better sales and better price stability.
As an afterthought, i'd like to point out that the very reason you're asking these questions--that reason being, you have the option to move to Ramuh--is the same reason the answers we give here may be rendered inaccurate or altogether wrong over the next few months. Gradually, the servers should start to look more and more alike as people move around.
