Raise- 500Gil NowFollow

The really odd thing is that being "/anon" isn't enough. I usually go around with my AF gear because...it's my best stuff, and I really don't have the room or gil to carry anything else. Even if I'm just using my Maul, it says right there "LV65 WHM". So even if I want to be left alone, I constantly get begged for all sorts of things. Of course, I could go "invisible" or "away" and can't send /tells to my friends. I could spend my time putting comments in that only experienced players who know better already will read. And places like the dunes still contain that ellusive Emperor's Hiarpin and some choice elementals...not to mention frequent trains of taru just waiting for a couragous Mithra to save them...well...maybe that's just me. I'm just saying, no matter what level no matter what the area, there's always a reason people show up..and not necessarily to stop, drop everything to do something else.

I don't think it matters if people charge for a raise, but seriously...what's the one thing everyone in the game will need eventually?

So it seems that even though some people still differ on this topic, many whms agree that it is not so evil to charge for a raise. Personally I still believe that we shouldn't even have to ask, it should be automatically given when you ask someone to come raise you.

I don't think anything new will happen in the game to say more then whats already been said here already. I didn't even plan to make another post in here. However through various topics I got to argue and fight over points of views with some pretty ok people. Even when we didn't see eye to eye on everything no feelings were hurt lol so thats a good thing.

Even ran into some people in game like Zaus, who if not for this thread I probally wouldn't have had time to chat with or bothered to talk to. Not because I am so high and mighty or because I know everything or I am too good to talk to him. Rather because I have seriously 100 different things going on in game at any given time. I have my chat LS EveryonesGrudge (have to say it's a pretty cool name) which I wish I had more time to just sit in and hangout and talk with people. Plus we started doing fun goofy stuff like taking LS pictures or doing an event together. It's just fun and good to have a place where you can go to to get away from it all.

Also I am doing Gods alot now I barely find time to exp when I need it. Anyone who is doing them knows the time involved with farming the pop items, helping a new member finish their sky pass, helping a member with some other mission or quest they want done during (and I say this loosely) "free time". Free time is more like down time while your waiting to go to a fight or whatever. Not to mention duties I have to my LS's.

So if anyone like Zaus or Darlene for example just want to pop by and say (Nice To Meet You) feel free like several people have done. I just wanted to state that 1. I don't bite unless your my BF and have made me mad lol 2. If I am sounding disinterested or rushed (Please Forgive Me) it's not that I don't care what you are saying, I am probally just running around all stressed out like a crazy lady with 1mil things to do lol.

At any given time I may have 1-10 conversations going on at the same time lol.

So hope all your whm adventures go well guys, and when they don't... which will happen I hope you atleast have fun with it. That's the most important thing right? Thanks to all those who have become a fan of me, but I'd rather you be a fan of the job I have come to love and respect. WHM because we rock lol

Wow 500 gill for raise. Why not go raise them for free. It takes like 5 mins out of your time. Just think the next time you'll need a raise, it just might be the person you raised before and they might charge ya 1k for being a dumbass.

This is rough topic. IMO running past a dead person and raising them is different than running to Selbina and being called to the secret Beach, then near Highlands zone, then someone died near emp spawn. You've now spent a half hour raising people when you were just going to Selbina.

Honestly if you want to charge 500g to curb the ammount of raise requests you're getting, I understand. It's annoying, and going out of your way to do it warrants 500gil.

Just make sure you have it in your search comment so that they see it before they ask you.

I remember when I first got whm to 25.... I soooo wanted to raise someone that I would have paid people to die ^ ^ I'm over that now though :)

I'm from Asura, but I thought this thread was very interesting.

As a BLM/WHM, I'm often asked for Warps, Teleports, and Raises. Teleports and Warps I will almost always charge for, unless I see the person is a newbie or I am feeling kind.

Raises I will almost always do for free EXCEPT when they ask me to come far out of my way. If I'm going to Selbina and see a dead body, raise. Free. If I'm going to Selbina and someone in Kon. Highlands asks for a raise, I expect a tip. Specially if I get off a chocobo to help them.

But mostly free raises. Kindness pays off. I raised a person in the dunes and gave them a warp for free. They asked what I wanted to be paid and I said to just pass the kindness along.

Later, one of my lower-level IRL friends sent me a tell, saying that someone had looked at her Fang Necklace, took off THEIR Spike Necklace and gave it to her! They said, 'pass the kindness along.' And, goddess above, it was the person who I had helped earlier that day.

Karma means a lot in the game. I remember those who help me and try to do something to help them out. Several times I have bought some gear for a low level player, and have had them thank me as a level 75 job months down the road.

Charging for raise is so yesterday.
