I played FFXI for from the beginning. I played up until Treasures came out and then life hit me and I needed to go. I am back and still liking the game. Ive played many other MMOs over the years but I always talked about going back to Vana'deil. Well, here I am and I am looking for people to play with. My old LSs kinda went away and I really dont have any friends that play. I'm leveling up jobs to 50 right now just for the fun of it and because it's really easy compared to 4 years ago. Gimme a tell in game if you have a LS that would welcome me a little bit. My name is Zeino and I am on Phoenix server now. I came from Siren.
If you need help, feel free to look me up. My main is Falkonn, and I'm one of the transfers from Titan.

I am essentially in the same boat as you are. I started with leveling up DNC so I can try and solo as much as possible, but am running into roadblocks, of course. If you ever want to get some quest/missions done, send me a tell and I'll be happy to team up! Character name is Littlejunior.
I'm in the same boat too. Used to play on Titan until a few years ago and coming back now (on my old 75WHM character).
For now my main goals are to get something to level 99 and do the old missions now they're easy to solo/duo so I don't have any more regrets about missing out on them in the past (when I found it hard to get parties for them).
I guess what I need most is a friend in game, since I know no one.

looks like Feb brought back a lot of old players to the game. I'm looking for a good LS as well to join
I've been back for a while now and have been in a friendly LS but it's not terribly active and, despite joining, I've still been solo 99% of the time. I'd be interested in an active, friendly LS that's willing to bear with individuals who are still learning some of the newer aspects of the game and enjoy getting things done. Name is Jacan in game.

Been thinking about joining again myself seeing as I am going to get the ultimate edition of the new expansion as it has all of the expansions and addons I need. I'm thinking about jumping in before hand though to get a head of things before that. So I'll let ya'll know when I do so we can become friends and maybe if we can't find an LS to join we can make one ourselves seeing as there are a few here that are looking but can't find one. X3

I've been thinking about making something social, but frankly, between the people here and the ones I know in game, I'd only have 15~ people to start. That's fine, if there's actually interest from people on here who are going to come back and play and be online, but not really worth the time if it's just going to hover at around 6 people online and never really grow from there.

Well, it was worth a shot to mention it anyway.
I'm not against it, there would just have to be at least 6-7 or so people who are 100% on board to make it worth starting.

I understand. :) I'm just thinking about what can be done to get some more people in and active. It might be possible that the new expansion coming in maybe more will come.
Okay, I hadn't really responded to the thread with the intention of recruiting, but since I already have a ls it would seem to be the easiest thing to do. If you're interested, I have a social ls. There's a few of us left from transfering over from Titan, but we're not exclusive by any means. I would be more then willing to offer you a pearl, and aid on missions and quests. Falkonn, if you don't mind, I will look you up in a little bit. I've been back for a few weeks and have picked up a lot of the new stuff, so I'm kind of in between being a noob and actually being useful, but I have a few jobs at 99 and am happy to help out with other new members and any thing else I can help with that your LS does.
***There's been some significant interest from friends in game and some people here on ZAM in starting a LS for returning players so we've decided to go ahead and do that. We figure the best thing to do would be to focus on getting new/returning Phoenix residents up to date with Abyssea and the newer content and then focus on farming seals and +2 items regularly so that everyone in the LS can get geared up. We figure ZBs and Atmas are a given as well and we would like to set a day or two of the week as ZM/CoP days to get people through DM and their CoP rings. If you are interested in linking up with us, get in touch with Jacan, Calideath or MysticMage for now for a pearl. ****
