Crafters of PhoenixFollow

We've all had times when we need something crafted, because there´s none in A.H. or we gathered the ingredients ourselves.
I'd like to gather a List of Phoenix Crafters(who want to be publicized), in order to facilitate the process of getting customers together with the crafters.

If you have a craft leveled, and would like to help those who need certain items made, please post below your game-name, craft & level, as well as if you will craft for free, have a fee for craft, or care to negotiate with the customer. If/when you need to update your craft level, just either edit your post or repost and I will fix it on the list. Keep in mind if you do charge a fee, that there may be those with your same level who won´t (so be competitive)!

I´m not gonna actually post them on the list however, unless they themselves request to be on it. I know some people prefer not for everyone to know who they are, so they aren´t swamped by /tells. Please pass the word along if you see them for me would you? I´ll be happy to add them if they´d like to be on it!

I'll be glad to synth anything, fee is negotiable, depending on the item and time i need to spend.

yeah, actually i didn't list the unknown crafters. they are all master crafters on phoenix, the most 100s, but i'd like to ask everyone to respect them, instead of bothering them for crafts. They DO charge for crafts, and alot. So, if you want some low lvl craft then realize, that it may not be worth your time. Also think about their time, since they get alot of tells for synths everyday. I mean i used to get over 300+ synth requests a day. It get annoying and makes the game frustrating. Best suggestion is that you first look the prices of the cost to make, and cost of the item. and please don't think the crafter will make the item for free. He's taking his time to help you out. and PLEASE do not keep bothering the crafter, for synth material questions, since it is very very annoying and we can't remember everything. I suggest please check up the item on your own, b4 even sending the first tell for a synth request to a crafter. and Please be calm, if your request is denied. Please be aware and DOnot argue about a HQ synth, most/all crafters promise only a NQ (normal quality synth. Please realize that, due to the fact that all of these crafters i listed are 90- 100+3, they Have VERY high cost for a synth. mostly 50k to 1mil. please realize that asking for a HQ is just frustrating for the crafter himself, b/c its hard to even HQ 1, let alone give it away for no cost. I know, it may seem weird "but i bought the synth materials" but think about it for a sec, if you got a HQ of an item which only cost you 100k, and you make 1mil. WHat does the crafter make. How does it make the crafter feel, just b/c you got lucky with them. THink about it, it took me 12 months to get smithing to 100+3, and the cost + time was insane, and i worked for the gil every single day. Most crafters take months upon months to get where they are now. So i request that you respect them plz, and you'll realize why its hard to give a HQ, b/c its like someone is profiting off someone elses work, (even if it took 3 sec) but try imagineing you do that craft for 12 months and lose 20mil and your life almost lol. Its hard i know but its how it goes. Please do not be pissed off at the crafter, just b/c he is charging you for HQ or NQ. ALL crafters have the right to only promise a NQ, not a HQ. We talk about this stuff everyday, b/c all these crafters are very close friends with me. I have so much respect for every crafter, b/c i know personally what it took to get there. So if you request a synth, please think about the crafter a bit, and research on the item b4 taking up his/her time.

Notes
- Research everything on the synth item b4 sending tell to a crafter (price to make, cost to sell, materials on AH)
- Politly Ask the crafter, b/c he/she is really doing a favor.
- DO NOT be an annoyance to a crafter
- Realize that Synth fee is usually 50k to 1mil gil.
- Please realize that HQ is close to imposible to make/ or predict.
- A Crafter has the rights to only promise you a HQ
- A crafter is NOT responcible for Fail Synths w/ or w/o item loss.
- DO NOT bash or, argue with a crafter for rejecting your synth request, and/or not synthing you an HQ.
- Please think about the time and hard work it took to get where we are.
- Please do not expect Free or lower then synth fee synth for the crafter unless he/she agrees to it.
- Alot of crafters would Not like to be bothered.
- Realize that we do not make alot of our gil, from synth requests, its mostly a favor.
- The Crafter has the rights to craft from which ever location he/she pleases, unless he/she agrees to a request for that.
- Please Do Not, bother a craft to tell you how to make a synth. (you can always ask if he/she remembers it, but to save time for your self, please check it up on your own.
- PLEASE!!!!! do not bother a crafter about lvling a craft, unless he/she agrees to helping you. I'v had the biggest problem with this, since 50 ppl would drive me insane on how to lvl a craft.



HERES A TIP!!!!!!
Alot, maybe even 90% of all NQ synths are cheaper on AH, then they are to make. Main reason people request synths, is if they need a item that is not on AH. a signed gear(only if crafter agrees), or a HQ, you are willing to pay close to AH price for.

Every crafter has their own methods of charging, people. I apoloize if this list was harsh, had bad grammer, spelling etc. I also apoloize if anyone felt offended. all crafters deserve privacy, and a good cost for their hard work. This is only a list to let ppl have a guide for getting a craft synth. like i said, this isn't all the crafters cost to make, or their policy on synths.

Well said! I really do appreciate any crafter's imput on this thread as well as your levels, so that those who don't craft know what to expect when they search for a crafter. Always remember that, as DW said the high level crafters get many many /tells a day and it can get bothersome; I will include crafters of all levels on the list for those who need lower-level synths done. So if you have a synth closer to their levels it would be best to ask them first, so as not to overwhelm the masters. Thanks!

What I'm gathering is that the fees for HQ synths are high. Almost as much to buy from AH. For example, if a HQ goes for 2M on AH, and materials cost say 50k. Are you going to charge like 1.8M or something for the synth?

(Please note, that I'm taking into account the fact that HQ is not guarenteed. I'm just trying to figure out if it is even worth it to ask for a craft, rather than just buy from AH.)

well i quit ffxi so no synths from me ; ;. I'm only on atm to sell off and split my items/gil. I used to only make synths for free if the item cost is over 200k and you find me. i only charge fees for high end items which are 500k - 1mil+ which could be 50k - 100k fee. the HQ is the hard part, since i can't just go and give different prices, i only do HQs if it is same with AH, all i care is how its effecting the costumer rather then myself, if the HQ is 1mil and cost to make is 100k then i will charge 700-800k. If the costumer can't afford that, then i'll spend my own gil to make a NQ of that synth and give to the crafter (i keep the HQ). stuff that costs 50-90k to make and are like 150k HQ i rarely make, but i rarely charge HQ fees for those. Only reason i'm against HQs is that the demand for it is tooo high, and its hard to make plus its annoying to hear about making HQ's 24/7 and then alwayts having to explain countless times on how it costs.

Sure, add me to the list. My highest crafts atm are Cooking 60 and Clothcraft 26. (After that, Goldsmithing 20, Smithing 17, and -- just how low *do* you want to go anyway? lol)

No charge at these levels, though donations of crystals are welcome... ^.^

I have lv 79 gold and 80 wood.

For wood ill craft most stuff for free as long as you give me the materials.

For gold ill do any non +1 item for free. Elemental beads for a very small negotiable fee. Usualy 5-20k depending on ore.

If you want an +1 item you will have to take your chances and give me materials for it. IF its NQ ill give to you for free <probably> but there will be a fee if the +1 is made. Price will depend on item. I am not gready so dont expect my fees to be alot of gil

heres a tip for all those ppl wishing to lvl a craft to 100+ and make tons of gilz fast...

I'd like to call it the onisama theory (cuz he mentioned it to me in a /tell one time)...

1) even at lvl 100 its tough to make gilz due to the influx of crafters(thats why i figure onisama quit crafting)

2) the few items for any craft that make any gilz for normal quality are too damn expensive too make gil off anyway and the risk is too @#%^in high for the petty gilz you'd make... leading me to....

3) Now this is where the onisama theory kicks in... one week i was trying to make a hq scorp harness in hopes of makin tons of gil super fast... and ofcorse... i lost a damn claw of my own spilling 2months worth of mining down the drain... i gave onisama a /tell saying what happened and he gave me his condolencies along with the most important thing any crafter or potential crafter should know... so i figured i'd share it with all those willing to listen... "in order to hq any higher lvl synth at a decent rate," he says to me, "you need to make about 25-50 normal synths" and of corse at first i hum and haw about this. then after about 2 more weeks of non hq's and 10 synths later, i think to myself... "self... hmmmm this theory might just be worth somethin...". So with one of the new patches and a pad of paper and pen i decide to take note of this and try to keep track of my accomplishments. And as anyone on this server knows i'm notorious for my ivory sickle +1's (mainly cuz they were cheap to make and i used to test onisama theory). But anyway so i decided to test this theory on the ivory sickles... and after about 20 synths i havent hq'd any yet doin all synths on new/full moons and crystal days. I start to ponder onisama's kind words and realize how true he was (keep in mind that i am 100+3 bonecraft and 60 goldsmithing and woodworkin ... the synth is 71ish bonecraft 60ish gold and wood). so after about 2 weeks and 20ish synths no hq yet... then about one week later onisama theory kicks in... FINALLY after 32 synths i get a hq w00000t but the only one i didnt sign out of the entire 32 rofl (and one of the main reasons was to make a hq signed for myself besides testing the theory). then over the next 3 weeks i do about 15 more synths (all on new/full moons and crystal day) and what do you know hmmmmm bout 45-50 attempts at this synth and i finally start to hq at a decent rate ONISAMA THEORY WORKS!!!!!!! I'm still goin to test on some more things that have support crafts and around that lvl so bare with me...

Well i just thought i'd pat onisama on the back for his theory and share with everyone trying to make a quick buck from crafting... good luck!

Neosutra do you have bonecraft lvl'd at all ?

I have been driving myself nutty trying to find someone with the skills to make my yagudo headgear. The biggest problem is that most people that have 90+ cloth and 60 leather dont have bonecraft lvl'd at all .


So if you could help me out or know someone that can please let me know .

As for fees, I wouldn't charge for a synth at this point, but I wouldn't recommend anyone ask me to make anything too good yet. ;)
