Well, I used to play here on Pandy a little over 2 years ago. When I left I had a level 50-55ish RDM, name Qespadz, as my main. I quit because I had a lot going on in my life, relationship issues, full time college, a job and two kids, and just didn't have the time. Fast forward two years, I have graduated and settled down a bit and started getting the itch to come back. I thought I would have to start over, but it is letting me "reactivate" my character, hopefully it will be the same way it was when I quit. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I haven't really kept in touch with anyone I used to play with, so I don't know if any of my old friends still play. I'll need a bit of help and time to get back into everything, so if anyone on here remembers me, I'll be back soon, and I'm looking forward to making new friends too!

I think you can reactivate old characters at any time, although I've never had to do this, because I never delete mine when I quit.
There's probably guides on POL somewhere, although knowing SE that may be a little optimistic.
Either way, whether you have to recreate or pick up your old character, welcome back. It's a totally different game to the FFXI of 2-3 years ago.

Thanks for the welcome. I was able to reinstate everything, so that was cool. I played around a little bit, now I guess I better get my butt back into partying and find a new LS, since it seems all my old friends are gone.

The LS masterlist, stickied on the forum is a good place to start.
I can highly recommend Realms. I have a pearl there and they're all really nice people, and it's a very chilled out LS.

Hehe... sounds scary. Might get on tonight and try to get some stuff done, macro-writing and such, I'll see who I can find online. I'll have to start off on a different job, I don't think I want to walk into a party as a 55 RDM after a two year break. Might make some good enemies that way...

Yeah I came back after like three, maybe three and half years, and I opted to just start from scratch again... Going well so far. Quite a bit changed though. If you're on later, and you're bored, feel free to drop me a /tell. I always like to talk. I'm just gunna be doing advanced job quests, but I'd be cool with PTing sometime, too. =)
