Two of my friends are coming back to FFXI (one of them fresh) and we are looking for a friendly group or LS on Odin (just transferred). Two of us are going to be leveling dragoons and I may switch to my paladin later on. Let me know if anyone needs a few more people to play with.

good luck, been trying for weeks to find an LS. no one seems to come on here or want to have new or returning people in an LS

Well, I recently found out that leveling is no longer a party-based pull-one-at-a-time standard and is instead a mosh pit of level synced alliances doing regimes from Adventure manuals or besting the Abyssea system (for those who wonder why the social community is far less lively than 5 years ago). Unfortunately, a lot of LS dont' accept returning players because they have a lot of catching up to do. New players also tend to need more assistance than other players, and veteran players are unlikely to help because new players frequently quit once the game actually gets more difficult.
