Another old player returning. Help?Follow

So I got into FF XI at its release and I played it for 6 or so years. I knew the game like the back of my hand and loved every minute of it. So now, after a 3 year break, I tried logging in today and... wow. I felt like a lost puppy. Any person or linkshell out there willing to help me get re-accustomed to the game and help me learn about what has changed? My game name is Shigaru, I have PUP DRG and BLM at 75 and I was on the Ifrit server when I quit. I don't know if I'll be using that char or starting fresh. I just feel so completely lost and jumping back into the game at high level might be too hard.

I'd be happy to find a good group of people in a linkshell, as that was my favorite thing about FF XI years ago. Thanks for the responses and hope I can play some later tonight!
