Funny that cos from what I've heard from people who've made mules over on the unspellable server - you guys don't want us any more than we want to be sent over there.

I hang with the same 8-10 people on Midgard as I will on Queasy-whatever. I don't think I'll notice a difference. I was only hoping I could make some cash on AH transactions... but looks like prices are on par... sneaky SE...

Only thing I am bummed about is that 2 of my friends are in the initial wave of FFXIV testing and I am not :(

Aside from that, life goes on. I will just have a larger population to try and ignore now :)

Going to get worse when the population of the servers are suddenly back at 2007/8 levels again as well. And the QCDN site doesn't load at the moment for half the world - so I'm not anticipating peace love and fluffyness over dynamis scheduling somehow... not going to be pretty.

Thinking at the moment this might be the end of the road for me - going to see out the next month and see how things are after that, but meeeh...

I welcome you all to Quetzalcoatl. Just be forewarned, alot of two-faced people on the server, myself being one of them to the people I really dislike.

I welcome a new group of people to harvest souls of events with me, as the last remaining few shells on this Server like to outcast players when they are shunned down for innate lies about them, then continue to shun and outcast their members after they've been proven wrong in the aspect of those lies being proved to be lies. Too much Drama on Quetzalcoatl, and their Flameboard on QCDN.org uses that drama on their flameboard to feed their site members. As without it, QCDN would be a dull place.

Be forewarned, from being on Quet for nearly 4.5 years, any person who has come to Quetzalcoatl has been outcast because of the bad things another transfer has did/done. You will be treated no different in this regard.

Do not get me wrong, there is a huge majority of Quetzalcoatl who will welcome and enjoy your company, but for those players whom rule and control the server from being the main shells on those servers, will show you no mercy nor pity when they automatically outcast you into the abyss because they will not like how your Dynamis schedules are ran on Midgard, and will insist you follow their scheduling instead...or be outcast forever as a hated person(s)or known server-wide as a "Zone Jacker".

For everything else, HNM is nearly dead besides a couple LSs that do it without nearly any competition.

Barely any EU here either, so it'll be nice to see some EU people from Midgard come, as well.

Nicolette is one of the original, cool people of Quetzalcoatl, and is a Genuine person when you speak to them. And damn can their DNC DD. lol Alobont has a cool ass COR too. Lucky bastard got +9 Acc Augment on his Martial Gun.

Found the QC site fine with google but it won't let me register there, keeps giving a sorry can't register message, so I'll post here :).

The perception that "we" are going to "their" world is wrong to me. Both worlds are going to a new world that due to SE being lazy shares the name of an old world. If we had a choice of worlds to go to that would be different, then we would be going to "their" world for those that chose to. Post apocalypse day 1, the day of the transfer, every thing starts over for everyone. There is no history, no my way, no our way...it's a new world for all, some just have the advantage of not losing names & linkshells :).

Since the dyna shell I was in died a few months back :(, good group of people...just not enough left to do dyna any more, so I'll be able to avoid possible drama there probably :). Sadly I'm stuck with hordes of partial af2 that isn't complete and I can't bring myself to toss.

So far I can't seem to find anything on a level cap change so where are people finding this :)? The idea of a new cap makes me very unhappy... Will people have to get 99 before getting merits now? The amount of xp needed to get all those extra levels, egads!

Yep this whole "our world" crap is what's pushing me more and more toward nuking my account to be honest.

The word was "merge" unfortunately, SE being SE can't even do that right (not as if they didn't have enough summons to pick from to rename servers neutrally). I'm sorry, but I'm not going to bow and scrape and beg for acceptance on a new server - not when the decision's being made from me. Suggest you guys quit the attitude cos coming on here trying to mark your territory and tame us like some dogs peeing up lamposts is getting pretty damned pathetic to be honest - flame me all you like for it, but there's meeting halfway, and then there's bending over preparing to be you-know-what and I'm not going down one of those avenues.

I'm also not going through the motions of "whoo hoo this is going to be great" - because it's not true, and I'm not so scared I feel the need to kiss rear in preparation for the apocalypse.

So thank you for the warm welcome Albont. Really adds to the extreme joy Midgard's getting at the moment and brings a ray of sunshine to our day.

This isn't a transfer, it is a forced move to a new world. Claiming "our world" and "our way" is just going to lead to drama even among otherwise reasonable people.

Just as QC people seem to be, MG people are generally reasonable and will probably be open to discussion most of the time :).

It might be good for some smaller dyna shells on both worlds to explore a merger, especially if they happen to go at similar times.

Probably it won't be as bad as people fear but there are bound to be some troubles with so many people meeting for the 1st time under less then ideal circumstances.

I'm hoping finding people for xp will be more fun and some ah items available more often, other then that, not looking forward to the forced move to much.

I've been trying qcdn.org about twice a day and still can't access it; it sometimes partially loads without formatting/CSS but usually just returns a generic "Firefox can't find this page." Is it always this unreliable or is it just having problems from double the number of people?

At any rate, I stopped doing Dynamis/Limbus a while ago and I likely can keep my name, so I guess overall I'll be ok with the merge. I do think it's being needlessly hostile to try and play the "This is our server so you have to play by our rules" card; I would think it'd be obvious that a server is defined by the people who play on it, not the name that pops up when you log in.

Not to say we'll be "running the show" either; that's just the same hostility in the other direction. There's gonna be a bunch of little clashes while people figure out new schedules, and I do feel bad for shells on both sides. Possibly some of the smaller ones will end up merging? I've done that once or twice with mixed results. If not, you can always console yourself with the knowledge that Dynamis would just have gotten horribly overcrowded once the level cap starts raising anyway (and likely still will, unless something drastic like instancing happens).

My biggest pet peeve is usually having no one to do the WotG quests and missions with, so hopefully that will be easier in this next round with twice the people. I'm also cautiously optimistic about qcdn; if it ever works for me I'll be sure to sign up and post there.

Whos ordering anyone around? I just simply asked that your dyna shells use our calendar so it trys to prevent gayness. I didnt demand that you all use it I simply asked, since it is an established calendar that most of the NA shells use.

I guess im still confused as to whos "ordering" you guys around.

QCDN seems to be behaving itself at the moment, so I registered and I'll take a look around. Regarding Vamprey's first post, I think everyone's clear on what's literally happening; he was just making the same point I did further down about the realities of how we'll need to get along.

Also agree with Cesaria that it would have been nicer to the playerbase to give the choice of where to migrate to, but SE has never been known for being nice. Consider that it could also lead right back to huge differences in server populations if everyone didn't pick an even distribution. This way everyone is pissed off on nice, balanced servers.

By the way, does your shell really go just once a week and Dreamland? Because that sounds like it'd have to have a catch. Otherwise I might consider tagging along.

wow starting a war that don't need to be started! no one asked for this merg but yet if it was the other way around you all be doing the same thing to us, from reading the post here it looks like most the people from our server is asking for a little bit of respect as you all would do the same if we had to join ya'll. there don't need to be this war with the servers i really think it will work itsself out over time if not there going to be alot of dyna jacking and i'm glad i don't run dyna to really care much about it.

in the end you'll just hurting yourself, NA/EU share the dyna zones and really have a good system but i don't think the system will work anymore with idk how many ls coming from your server that do run dyna its just going to be a mess unless you all work it out a merg with ls's..

don't hate the player hate the game. there no need for this war.

I welcome you all to the server and hope you all enjoy your stay. there are both good and bad ppl on this server a few of them have posted on here but i wont say any names.

I personally feel really bad for all the people of Midgardsormr. I know that if it were me, I'd be pretty pissed off. Losing my names would be what would probably irritate me the most. I really think it's a bad idea all in all. There are benefits, but the chaos caused will outweigh them. I dread seeing /sea bhafthicket 75 return 30 and have 20 seeking. Not so much for me (BRD cheater), but for everyone else, it'll suck, and I feel terrible that they're forcing this on all the fine people of Midgardsormr.

However, try to see the good. With more people to draw from, it'll be easier to get things done. Missions, quests, etc.

I really think the reasoning behind these merges is in preparation for the level cap breaking. Think about the amount of content they'll need to add to get us all to 99, not to mention a whole new endgame. The sheer mass of new stuff is unimaginable to me. It will be a new game, and I think if the servers weren't merged, everyone's levels would end up being spread so thin that nothing would get done.

Quez has always been a stable server (though that may mean nothing after today's merger). Be glad you're not moving to Shiva, which I seem to always see on the "world recovered" list.

They're going to have to do something to whitegate. Double the population's lag? Pass on that.

Also: Quetzalcoatl is not harder to spell than Midgardsormr, they're both bizarre. I wonder if they took this into account in the merge?

Anyways, I know none of you want to come here, but it's out of our hands. So, welcome. I think it'll be fun to meet all the new people.
