so i've noticed when eating a small bag (0.7 OZ/19g) of Reese's Pieces (a most perfect candy, that is one of the options for sugar relief provided by the office) that there's always an odd number of pieces. i know this, not because i'm OCD or anything like that, but i just always grab two pieces at a time when eating them. i decided to count them, and there were 27...at least in one bag. i would assume it's counted going into the bag. i began to wonder where they came up with the number. i thought that maybe it was because they wanted the proper measurement, but that would be more likely if it was 1 oz or 20g or something, but nope...it's 0.7 and 19. i have not done the research, i've felt like rambling here since i haven't posted or visited much lately. i've worked 11 days in a row, out of town for 6 of those days, and it looks like i'm working at least 9 more before i get a day off. it's okay though, it's more money in my pocket, and out of town work isn't too hard or much, but when i'm in the office it's balls to the proverbial wall. i'm leaving at lunchtime for some more out of town work. when driving back last time (it's a three and a half hour drive), my mind started wandering. i listen to XM radio and there's this promo for Squizz (an XM channel) that proposes that a listener emailed in and asked if a train left Boston at 3PM and another train left New York at the same time, what time would they meet in the middle. i began to think about this, and actually solved it in my head (theoretically, without numbers just setup and equations) while driving. i was bored. i probably could've separated this paragraph out some, but i figured giant wall of text needed to free the beast.
on an unrelated note,
i have some graphs that depict my life outside of work:
