nah, i'm not getting banned. i defied the man, and the man backed down. all with threats of letting my work how i spend my time. but then again i'm getting laid off in about 34 days... so to be honest, it's hardly a threat to anything but me coasting on unemployment.

things i like about WoW over FFXI: crafting, soloablity, useful merchant NPC's, voice acting, emotes, lack of @#%^ japs. i actually feel like my character is able to kill things without me being beat within an inch of my life. ability to seperate combat logs and chat logs. PvP is a lot easier than ballista, and you don't HAVE to sub ninja to not die like a bitch. the talent tree. quests are explained/quest log is easy to understand. the game is more or less balanced. arial mounts > airship. a severe lack of galkas.
things i like about FFXI over WoW: the community is more of a community. the inablility to wantonly switch servers. the AH system. stats mean more. linkshells, in fact chat all together. the art style. don't need a mouse (dual shock 2 > everything). sub jobs. ability to change jobs at will. abilities are free. mithras. the story, characters. sidewinder. weapon proficiency means something. lack of trolls... in one way or another. the auto-translator. more hot people play FFXI. maluenda. tarutaru paladins doing savage blade and monks doing asuran fists. blink tanking.

Well at least your having fun. The thought has crossed my mind once or twice regarding WoW. It was quickly purged though. Maybe one of these years when I finaly hit 75... Till then, this will be my first and most likely my last MMORPG. The time you invest in these kind of games can be a bit much.
That alone is really the only reason I don't think I will ever pick up another game like this. Then again it has taken me almost a year and half just to get my war to 71. Well at least you are enjoying yourself. Thats what it's all about.

I, too, have had passing thoughts of WoW. But, I just can't get over the whole not being able to switch to whatever job you want whenever you want, do whatever you feel like doing at the time kinda thing. I really like being able to mess around with all the jobs, playing a bit here and there. 3/4 of my jobs are 10+ Also, I really enjoy the community here. I've watched my brother play WoW, and I've even dabbled in it for a few levels (7) and in my short hour of play I ran across an appauling amount of, well, for lack of a better term, morons. I had one girl follow me around for almost 45 minutes, asking me to kill stuff for her, for money, for etc, etc, etc. I don't know why she thought I would have or be able to do any of those things for her. Well, anyway, the point is, I'll stick to ffxi. But as long as your having fun, Tofu. Thats all that counts.
