Greeting!

I was an old casual DRG player in Lakshmi (quit in 2005, "Nettie" @Lv59). I am back because I m bored to the WoW and looking forward to meet friends (mainly for social and casual lvling ATM).

Is there any Linkshell for English player in Asia timezone? My main up time will be mainly on 5:00-6:00/15:00-18:00GMT (13:00-14:00/23:00-2:00HKG or 0:00-1:00/10:00-13:00EST)

BTW, my current character is "Nethomas" and I just hit the first Limit Break (Lv50).

Thanks

Just some updates:
Luckily, with some help, I got the first Limit Break done and in o time I hit my 2nd LB, DRG@Lv55.

The question will be:
1. Does 2nd LB "Atop the Highest Mountains" doable by 1 PLD/WAR tank, 1 WHM/BLM Healer and 1 DRG/RDM (all @lv55)?
2. Since I had left FFXI for more than 6 years and the exp party changed totally, I just wonder where I should go for exp?
I found that from Lv1-16, there is so easy to solo.
For Lv17-30, Page 1 @ Gusgen Mine is the best I found.
From Lv 30-40 I can solo in Korroloka Tunnel (Page 1 to Page 6) (but is there any good site that is easy to find party to join?)
From Lv40-55, Page 1 for Crawler's Nest is great to go for both solo and party.
Where should I go (for both solo and party) after lv 55?

And, I am still looking for recruit in casual/newbie LS.
Me "Nethomas"will be mainly as a DRG (will work on my RDM, PLD, DRK as well, but can't go tank),
My brother "Dilidala" will be mainly PLD/WAR (BRD and SMN as casual)
My Sister-in-law "Snowpinky" will be WHM/BLM

1) Send me a /tell ingame tonight. I will assist with your LB. (Hemlock) Not that your pt setup couldn't do it, would just be long and rather obnoxious.

2) Crawlers nest. Doing grounds of valor page 1. You can stay there until low 70's but keep in mind you have to level sync to someone no higher than level 56. There are usually always active parties there.
After CN, I think it's Gusgen? I've seen a lot of 70'ish players there.
Once you hit 75+, you could start doing abyssea parties, probably worm or frog in lathiene. You could technically go there at level 30 and be a chest popper, however, I strongly don't recommend this if you haven't played up to 75+ at least once. Exp in abyssea goes fast and hard so you lose a lot of the skillups and whatnot that you should be getting.

Oh, kuftal is a decent xp spot around 70+ as well. page 1 with crabs/lizards. A competent party can net around 40-60k an hour while getting some nice skillups if you're underleveled.

I don't have an LS to offer you guys, but you can add me to friends list and I'll assist as much as I can.

I'm in Central time and am on by about 4pm CST and usually until about 10pm CST on weekdays. Weekends, it's a gamble.

My play time is limited, but if I'm online and still need help with G2 or any other mid level content, please send me a /tell. My character's name is Tijet. If I'm not busy, I'd be glad to help. Most of what I've been doing since my return is leveling support jobs through Grounds of Valor.

Also, feel free to post in the 9,968k pages thread. It's a great way to socialize with those of us that are not on regularly and I'm sure most of us wouldn't mind lending a hand if you asked!

You posted this around 10pm my time. I'll make it a point to be on tonight around then. If everyone is ready to go on LB2, should take around 15-20 minutes.

Hemmy, Tyjet and Chewzer, thanks for all u guys,

So sad that i m currently living in GMT +8 time zone. I could only sneak around an hour to play during my lunch time and normally i can play from 23:00 to 2:00 (if i don't want to work in awake mode in next morning). So, it will be a harsh time for me to join your help during your online time. But anyways, i do got aid from some random help and i got both LB1 and LB2. Now I just top to lv 60 and need to do my LB3. My bro told me that Hemmy offering helpon LB3 but too bad that i was not lv60 yet and i have to rush back to office (where i m now). sigh... >_<

Again, Thanks for all you guys! And i m proud that to tell u guys: I break my record! Now i am a lv 60 DRG!! (i was only lv 59 when i quit 6 years ago)

Wahahaha... Ok, next task will be getting my Skewer (my Pole-arm is a bit behind due to Ground Valor level sync), then LB3. I hope i got all prep for LB3 (Crimson Orb for Orcish Crest, Mysteries of Beadeaux I and II for Quadav Crest... hey, anything i need to prepare for the Yagudo Crest part?)

Congratulations!

LB3 can actually be done completely solo if you prepare properly. It involves infiltrating the Orc, Quadav, and Yagudo strongholds. You have to click on an object in the deepest parts of the each dungeon to receive a key item. I did my LB3 solo as a level 60 PLD. You can sub WHM, RDM, or SCH for Sneak and Invis and bring silent oil and prism powders to avoid any potential magic aggro. Also, make sure you bring a form of reraise just in case you catch aggro by accident.

Once again, if you see me online, feel free to ask me for help as I would be willing to help you out.

Oh, and LB4 is very easy! All you need is a few Kindred Seals. If I remember correctly, you need 5. You just trade them to Maat and the quest is complete.

I hope this helped!

Edit: I googled your time zone and it appears that you are 14 hours ahead of my timezone (GMT-6). When I am available to play FFXI, I am usually online between 10PM-4AM in my time zone.

4 Kindred seals for LB4, and DNC also has sneak/invis (Spectral Jig).

It's my update again!

With my Linkshell's help, i managed to complete LB3!!!
Thanks Osmond and Turkish! /salute

Ok, I just hit lv 63 but i found that i m terribly behind on my WS. 155@lv63... I thought i should be almost 200 and getting my Skewer soon but i was wrong.

Lv Sync is good to get easy levels but sucks on getting my WS so i think i need to come out and do some solo. Luckily I got my PLD and RDM level so that i think solo is not a big issue as a DRG.

Meanwhile, i will start my forgotten AF quests. First one is easy to solo (the "Peregrine") but the later part need to go thru Eldieme Necropolis to the island (which need help again) and NM Sturmtiger is no joke to lv 63.

So, probably need some lv up (in solo and get at lease Skewer first) then my AFs and... probably i will need to do my LB5 after before i get my last AF gear...

After some help from my LS, i finally got lv 75 (Woot!)
Now, to be a real DRG, i got to get my AF helm!

Back to when i was lv 70, I go get Maat, Using the cheapest way: Get Nude to meet Maat, get a Hedgehog Pie, Icarus Wing and dress up and face Maat.
Start with Penta Spam, then Jump x2 and 2-hour, (TP get over 120%) and i Penta spam again. And when i try to Jump again, Maat Surrend.

After i beat Maat, I went and do the the AF Lance Quest. Decurio I-III is not hard at all, just trigger 1 or 2 HB and it is dead unter my Penta spam)

Then I trade the Gold Hairpin and flag the AF pant. I went to the Island as DRG/PLD and some unknown person inside Eldeime Help me to open the door. (I shout for {Door} {Open} (H-8) {Can I have it?} and just like open sesame) The fight sad first time because i didn't realize how hard Sturmtiger hit! Luckly i got Reraise III before the fight.
2nd Round, i just buff everything, food and kill some idiot Goblin to get my TP to 200. Pop the tabby again and Penta spam, jump X2 and 2 hours and Penta Spam again and Jump X2 wait for the 3rd Penta. Just before 3rd Penta, the Tabby is dead.

How I m working on my AF Armet. All previous works are done and now i need to kill the NM. I went Temple of Uggalepih as DRG/RDM (75/37)
First trial: So sad that I failed. I Pick Cleuvarion M Resoaix (don't ask me why, just toss coin and pull him over under Sneak). I forgot to buff myself and that was fine because I have 120%+ TP and i Penta Spam him. But then i was wrong. He trigger Mighty Strike and each hit do 200+ and my HP fall to red in 10s and the worse part, i was too close to Rompaulion S Citalle while the low HP do catch his nerve.
Well, I will try to do 2nd run again, this time i will pull Rompaulion S Citalle and run to the end of the room.
Oh, Just let you know in case; Tonberry do aggro when u kneel to heal. I reraise myself and when i kneel, the stupid Tonberry summoner come and hit me. Luckily that i kill him before he did... with... 35HP/2MP left. orz

Next goal: umm... Abyssea? maybe, or i should go finish my Mission 4 and get Air-ship pass first...
