If youre ever in a PT with an up and coming BRD named Hotarutaru (also has a 75WHM which im sure he/she plays just fine) don't comment on how he/she refused to pull ever as brd doesnt use etudes ever or threnodys, just 2 melee songs and the occasional ballad.

Dont blacklist this person for no reason but be aware that if you comment on his/her bard playing style or they will attempt to have you kicked from the party and not stop trying until they get their way.

The comment i said was 'If youre playing bard and you hate pulling and multitasking songs then you should try a different job'

And he/she ended up not only getting me randomly booted from the party, but also did so right as i had a pull so that it turned into a MPK attempt by the party leader Leipold when I was stuck with hate from the mob and he refused to re-invite me to at least clear the mob so i could leave in peace. (granted i cussed him out pretty heavily instead of asking for a re-invite nicely) But thats because im a WHM and i was bieng beat down by a crawler lol. A guy PLing another group nearby ended up helping me get rid of it.


Ended up calling GM about them trying to kill me off and got them a warning so at least they dont try kicking people while the person can possibly die from it.

Anyway in conclusion dont blist her cuz shes not really that bad of a person, just avoid commenting on her playing style or lack thereof because she will get you kicked and bards get their way almost always due to them being such a needed job. Also to those who might be friends with these people, please dont take this as a personal attack on them, its just simply a warning not to criticize them.

First of all it was a party in the Crawler's Nest... AT LVL 37!!!! A bard should not be expected to pull at that lvl NOR should they get sh*t from a big mouth WHM when they say that they are not comfortable with that play style just yet. The guy could barley speak english and was very polite in saying that he did not feel comfortable to try and pull when there were plenty of other people in the party with RA capable of pulling. Just because he may have to get used to it at lvl 75 in burn parties does not mean that you should give him sh*t at 37 for not wanting to do it. I was present at your little bitch fest that day and if I remember correctly you were constantly bashing the poor lil guy and calling him a retard who couldn't play his job right. I believe verbatem (sp)"Wow! A bard who doesn't want to pull??" Are you kidding me?? You suck at your job and should go lvl something else!"

I don't care how many jobs you have at 75 or how much experience you have with the game, but talking sh*t to some other guy who does not yet have the experience is just not good ettiquette. Leipold kicked you from the party because you took it upon yourself to not let up on Hotaru in your badmouthing. Hotaru also sent tells to Lei saying that you were making him uncomfortable and suggesting that he should leave the party, not you. Lei seeing all of this was fed up with your mouth and kicked you from the party. If you go and decide to pull a crawler after he kicks you, then that is your own fault. Also if I remember correctly you slept that same crawler next to another party that was near by and when it woke up, Oh my goodness!! It linked with the other parties mob and YOU almsot MPKed that party with your stupidity. Cussing and yelling and screaming for Lei to reinvite you is really going to get you help from the party that kicked you in the first place for your bad behavior.

Just wanted to clear up this little rant. Keep bitching about it if it makes you feel better hon. Now that the facts are out from a person who was completely uninvolved as a bi-stander, maybe your story will start to make a little more sense to everyone else.

So it sounds like you were level 37 and wanted the Brd to pull Soldier Crawlers I assume??? Frankly I find Brd rather boring if I am not pulling but pulling those with a Ranged Attack and preferably by someone /Nin is far more useful.

As for songs? I would use Madrigal/Minuet on the melee, Balad on the mages, Requiem on the mob and Finale ASAP when Cacoon was used. I would also take responsibility for Poisna. As far as additional songs go, I would use Threnodys and Etudes only if there was a Blm in the party assuming any Whm or Rdm at that lvl could stick Paralyze and Slow without them, Prelude on a Rng or DD Cor, Curagas/Paeons as needed,Lulabys in case of a link and that's about it.

I have pretty much zero tolerance for arrogant idiots, especially a clueless one who is harassing me. I would have sent you a /tell telling you to STFU and if that was ignored I would have politely asked the party leader to replace you becuase it would be necessary for me the leave otherwise. In the mean time you would have joined the few and proud on my /blist.

yes, courtesy is a virtue that ppl in the game seems to lack a lot.

Oh most definatly. I hope the rest of the people in his linkshell, Silenceofthechocobos, isn't like that.

Here's what happened afterwards.

He stays for his level, which luckily for me, happened about 20min later. However, what infuriates me the most was that earlier a Blm came by and saw me, and asked "How long?". I told the guy long time, and so he just sat there and watched. A few min later he said "excuse me...do you mind if I get 1.5k exp to get my level up? Ill leave after that". Just for the fact that he asked politely instead of just being an ass and gimping exp for the both of us, I said sure. And sure enough, after 1.5k exp, he leveled, said 'Thank you ^_^' and left. His name was HattoriHanzo or something like it, I'm pretty sure he got it from that sword maker from Kill Bill. He was a very nice guy. And unfortunately, other people will probably never learn from his example.

It's weird to have 2 people wanting the same thing come to me and deal with it in completely different ways.

I have had this player in a few parties as well and would tend to agree that competence isn't exactly his/her long suit .... For example simply using Earthen Ward whenever possible when fighting Puks was apparently too much to ask =(

Interestingly enough Rdms definately seem to dislike this players style given that the two I had in parties at the same time as Shimmimi were like /blist add, never partying with this Smn again!

Still, never experienced any a$$hatery during those encounters and the parties still got decent XP so I just attributted it to just another player incabable or uninterested in performing adequately and made a mental note that this player was to be avoided if possible.

hahaha, well now your response makes sense. The only time I go /NIN is for soloing or small group stuff--I would never take that to a mire party where I was expected to main heal. ^^

Yeah I'd be "attached" to a relic and sea access I didn't earn too.

Edit...wow dude...just give it back. That's pretty low. You know how much work probably went into that character? The whole thing sounds pretty shady and it's been posted all over the place.

But really I agree with Sassy, If you quit and give your stuff away it is not yours anymore, doesnt matter if it is just equip or a whole character. If you think you might come back some time in the future just take your stuff to the grave with you that way if you do come back its yours, you earned it right.

The character is on a New server, you have no firends on, have to wait 60 days to move it back, etc etc. Besides its just a game, yes it is fun. What made you want to come back anyway, were you not getting your way and finally saw that SE was doing something to "Help" you out and you couldnt walk away just like a junkie. Well if you are addicted and cant give it up why tell some one they could get your account in the 1st place.

I hope this made sense, only gotten 6 hours sleep in last 2 days.

So the guys brother gave Ket the info while he was out of town and was obviously quite upset about it when he found out. Sounds like a real "gift".



Thing is the character is still completely intact besides the changed credit card information. Sorry but I don't hold much respect for people who have characters that they didn't work for. And then post like the person gave them the character out of the goodness of their heart. Right.

I'm not saying anything about anyone in particular here, but I've seen plenty of level 75's, of all jobs, that suck hardcore. A lot of them have multiple jobs at 75 that they suck at. DRG isn't special, it just takes them more time, on average, to get there.

Wanna know a little trick for spotting the Melee that suck now?
If they're holding a two handed weapon, and they're eating sushi, they probably suck.
That goes double for a DRG.
