2 returning players and 1 new player.Follow

Hey guys,

I was a big time player back until 2009, my brother (the new player), a RL friends, and I are coming back to the game in a couple weeks (have a test to write on the 8th). I have read most of the threads here about all the new stuff added but I am wondering a few things.

First, whats the best way to level a new player? when I left you still had to grind your way through the the dunes. from what I am reading leveling is fairly quick now compared to 2009.

Next, what jobs are relevant, I only have one 75 job. RDM and read that they have lost a lot of steam. I do have many jobs leveled to 37 (as subs). I do enjoy all jobs but i am not sure what the economy is like on Fenrir nor do i remember how much Gil I have.

Finally, I'm assuming my LS is completely dissolved. Are there any players on Fenrir that are willing to give us a once over and potentially an LS to join once we get back?
