To Chaotician, yes the first post did come off meaner than it should have. However, if you look at my responses versus everything Holthaus has said, you would understand that I'm having a great deal of patience with Holthaus and am attempting something resembling being civil despite his frequent flames and insults.

To Ragenarok, it was a 6 person party. You were there. Megatron was there. I did not know you had a static, so the presence of the other 3 members in the exp party excluding myself didn't really strike me as anything. I just recognized you as that guy who always hangs around Megatron. I honestly can't recall seeing Snipps outside an exp party, though the name seems familiar. I'll take your word on Megatron's temperance. However, under no circumstances will I believe Holthaus is capable of the same good nature.

Did I ever tell you about the n00b that cast cure in Sky only to die a very quick death by the THREE pots floating around him... wait a minute(sad part is I hit reraise and cured myself, I must have been drunk or something).
There once was a n00b that hit 20 and decided(a friend talked him into it) to run to Jeuno. No escort, no nothing. He sure did want that chocobo license. The n00bs friend gets raptor argo, dies in one hit and home points. "Hey, some of the LS is going to get me Rank3 dragon, I gotta go!" Disbands party. In a panic, el n00bo spends the next2 hours dodging and hiding in Sauromogue Champaign. N00b didn't know where Jeuno was... until he finally realized he had a map, lol.... hey, wait a second...

Hmmmm. Maybe I need to think of some different stories...

one of my psersonal favs is the ever present player noob and pro. is the running mage. "OMG i'm getting hit" and they start running. then they get mad when they die.

yea my stories were never ment to be anything but humor based on facts and events i have been present in. every story i tell is true and i leave the peoples names out so no one can be hostile twords anyone. because the only person who really knows who it is . Is me and i never tell.

i have never went after anyone in anger on this game who did not deserve to be attacked. and as to date i have been playing almost 3 years. and have 0 people on my blacklist and 200+ people on friendlists. i have one person in the entire game i would like to se DIE but as long as he stays away from me and mine is game life is not my problem.

i play a job to the best of my ability. no one can ever say i lay down when im needed. i may not be a 1337 playert who thinks there better than others and o look at me im uber. i could easily be a person like that i have the knowladge and friends i could be ubber 1337 faster then your head could spin. but i dont want to be ubber i wna tto be me. friend to all enemy to none. i have helpped and will help forever. if you dislike the way i do something thats cool but i'm not going to change for you or anyone. because then i wouldnt be me i would be who you wanted me to be.

as a side note me,snipps,rock,cryforme.razor took down charby for joyeuse last night. it was fun to take down a nm normally taken with an alliance with 5 people and they all enjoyed my ability to have endless mp as /smn

I thought we had agreed to drop this? Creating a topic dedicated to me (I am flattered, let me assure you) on another website isn't quite my definition of dropping. Regardless, I don't post over on KI and I'm not going to create a username over there just to respond.

Good lord. Hypocrisy at its finest.

I was leveling SAM in the dunes yesterday trying to get to 20. Our tank was leaving so I sent a tell to a 18 WAR/THF asking if he would like to join us as our tank, he said yes so I invited. On his way to camp he informs us he has a PL. Not needed in dunes IMO but meh. I got kind of a bad feeling when they got to us as his PL brought a Bogy into the middle of our camp and let it beat on him for a bit to show how strong he was and then he killed a few pugils, our exp mobs. As for the WAR/THF, I can honestly say with no exaggeration, I’ve never seen a worse tank in this game.

Me, the WHM and the THF all asked him numerous times to provoke and he mostly ignored us provoking about once every other fight, never provoking more than once in a single fight. After 3 EASILY avoidable deaths (the last by me when the TANK was at full hp or close to it) I was getting tells to boot the guy and I finally did. Only the second person I have ever had to do it to and the first person on my blist. Bear in mind I got the game in March 2004.

I explained to him that it wasn’t working out and I was sorry but I’d tanked for 80 levels in the game and was more than willing to go over some things with him later but for now, for the good of the group, I had to say goodbye to him. I told him it was a consensus not just my decision, and also apologized to his PL about having to let his friend go but thanked him for the raises. Needless to say, his response was beyond juvenile, saying I was pathetic, blaming him for my mistakes, taking the game too seriously, I was a gay a$$ homo blah blah blah etc. He sent numerous tells to me and the BLM plus bashed us all in /Say but finally left when he realized a GM had been notified.

The only mistake I know of that I made was inviting him as I got 20 easily after we got a new tank and a couple of people added to my friends list.

most of my memorable noobsville memories. (which i hope to have plenty more in the 360 release) they mostly take place in the dunes - garlidge. thats when people still have no idea what there dooing and or freak out because OMFG link lol. keep posting people

I get kinda mad when I camp an NM for awhile and some random person pops in and gets claim and a drop. My experiences with this happen to be with Mysticmaker Profblix himself over the last few days. No offense to the OP of course, there's no NM camping rule in the game that says you have to take turns claiming things. My karma came back to me, though. He was just sitting there when I log in today, claim him quick, and get the drop.

Very funny topic, though. Some stuff I might not agree with but for the most part, good job.

yea hey thats when i was running to windy to try and get some skills for my BLU. and you were on cho . if i remember correctly. nice to meet you. im still in the dunes i hope to be out yet once again.

during last weeks run. it was rather enjoyable after i adapted to the new people. this following story isnt a funny story or but a learning story

of course its hard to build a dunes party so whikle waiting on getting everyone. me, my wife, and a friend are sitting at the Oasis and thers a party there. and along comes another party. with a 70+ BST either controled by a member or had a PL. well as all things a member of the party beside us dies from Cursed Sphere. and of course i cringe at his/her death. well one of the surviving members starts shouting for a raise. they get no responce. well at this time the party notices the BST cure one of the member of the party next to them. and they ask for a raise. well the BST ignores them and keeps PLing his/her friends.

well me feelign sorry for them i join in on the shouting trying to help. of course no responce. so i say to hell with it and shout for a raise and offer 50,000 gil. if that wont bring someone to raise you nothing will. well still no responce. well the party gets upset because the BST wouldnt help. well a see Cursed Sphere go off again and BANM 3 out of 5 of the members of the PLd party Bites the farm.

i start laughing. chalking it up to Karma. the bst then raises the members of his/her party.
i guess the BST figured it was KArma as well and raised the dead member of the other party. i went to pay them. and they wouldnt accept it. so kudos to the bst for raising the person for free. but DUDE 25 mins and the guy is 3 feet away give me a break. if you have that ability to raise a person DO IT!!! because they would raise you if they could.

VOKE

trying to avoid the mass amout of people in the dunes i soloed BLU to 13 and had plans to solo it all the way to 37. then i got talked into parting with my wife. i make it to 14-16 rather easily . and it happened. i get an entire 360 party. now i play on 360 so does my wife and my best friend. us 3 plus 3 new player in the dunse.

well i ask them if this was ther first time in the dunes......... no repsonce, od i clarify it" is this your first trip thro with a job?"........ still no responce. so i check the party list . sure enough 3 rank 10 players 3 rank 1 no subjob member. so i reply i take it by your lack of subjobs that yall are new at the game.

i look at erhe jobs and say ok ill give you a run down of what were going to do. i say first we have no whm ro smn we have 2 RDM so you 2 RDM can split up the healing aspect of the job. your main focus is curing the tank. both agree. well i go ok WAR your the tank. he breaks in "Voke i know." i say right you voke the THF will pull the mobs in and you voke it and we beat it to death.

ther THF puls the first mob. the WARs head is bouncing around like a rubber band. he cant find the mob to voke it. so i voke it. it starts hitting me. and he starts hitting it. i have to yell VOKE! before it beats me to death. he does so and we kill it.

i try to expalin that as soon as you see the pull macro go off its your job to be prepaired to voke the mob. the next mob is pulled. and the thf passes the resting WAR runs thro our party and her comes the CRab. the WAR still restin. i say GET UP. he dosent so i once again Voke the mob. starting to get a little tisked i tell him to plz be ready he. says he was sorry and will do better. happy wit hhis responce he starts being a war liek a war should.

next 3 or 4 mobs he vokes to slow but does. on the pull then i notice his next problem he keeps moving during the fight wanting to always be in its face but trying to do so without
voking it.

so i go ok hommie its like this. provoke pisses the mob off think of it like power. you have it use it . your the great wall of china. your un moving. a stone. ok? he gos ok so i stand still . i say yep
next voke he moves again. i remind him hes a stone and hes not supposed to move. that hes messing up the THF special move. he stands still. and the next mov moves again. i give up and simply stand behind the WAR spamming pollen until the THF does his move then i would move.

about 1 hour into the party they other member say erthers so much flying thr the chat log they cant keep up. so i teach them how to remove all the useless information. and there doing so and the WAR asks "How do you make a Provoke macro?" my jaw drops open. i say your lvl 17 and you dont know how to make a provoke macro? he says no. so i tell him how to make one. the THF gets so mad he wants to choke the WAR to death but settles for revenge instead.

were all 16-17 and the thf ask if he should pull a fish. i start to say no then the war says YEA fish. then i get the tell from the THF "ahahahahahahah" and he pulls it. i cast Metalic body and cacoon. and i get ready. 1/2 thro the mob which is dieing fast i see it. i knew it was comming. SCREWDRIVER!!! Banm one shot the WAR dies. i voke it off and we kill it. the war goes WTF was that. we inform him that the fish have a move called Screwdriver that can kill you easy. he gowes well that S.O.B killed me i dont like those. but my Ls says i need to be at Secret Beach. do yall know how to get there?

me change na never. im to old to change my FFXI ways now.
not much happening diffrent in noobsville this week.

except last night while pling my wife in kazham i raised people 3 diffrent people from the same party within 2 hours all dieing within 15 feet from each other. you know that hump right before the big open area right out side kazham the sopt were the gobs spawn and walk. they parting there. i enjoyed raising it was a nice change of pace. i did notice that man can these guys zone a gob lol i must have seen 30 zoned last night ^^

even old schoolers sometimes walk into noobsvill even without knowing it. my beloved wife. who has been wanting her walabingbang turbin hat. that lvl 75 turbin hat u trade bronze pieces for. well she saves up her isp points and starts going thro the process of buying coins well she didnt think to much and started out buying just the bronze coins. but caught herself and noticed that she was riping her self off. and started buying the gold coins and then headed to convert them over to bronze coins. well after about a hour she finally gets her hat. and shes all proud of herself. i congrat her and go back to looking at porn on the net. it was a boring weekend what can i say?

well monday morning rolls around and the wife starts gathering people for a party. i tell her i'm goingot go ahead and pre get my warp pass. well i get mine and she talks to the npc. and i her all kinds of ummm bad words come from her. well after i find out i did nothing i was all about helping find a sulution. well sure enough she only had 23 ISP left she forgot to save any for a warp pass. needless to say she started hitting me because i was laughing so hard at her. i asked her how her new hat was going to get her xp. and of course she started hitting me. well i told her to go wait for a besiged. it seem like everytime i'm in town one is starting. well of course none was going on at the time. so i take her out and we dueod mobs getting her ISP points. o BTW right at this moment she is out soloing mobs to get the last 30 IPS for a warp pass. wahahahahahahahahahahaahhaahhhhhhhhhhhh. i'm so not getting laid after posting this.

i was on vacation last weeek. overall it was a fun and exciting time. didt do much reall i PLed my wife's ninja from 27-37 just so she could retire the job till she stops hating ninja. During this time i meet a newbie BLM that was in her party. we gotto talking and we both were on 360. so he adds me to his friendslist and over my vacation me and my wife became good friends with him.
and i found out a very intresting thing. from 8 am.- 12:00 noon. there is no point of tring to party as any job

i sat in town as a BLM, RDM, SMN and couldnt get a party for crap at those times. so we used the time to camp NM's got a Monster Signa woot woot. managed to get my Gaudy Harness thanks to Gilthu and Kab and my wounderful wife snipps who also got hers. and we helpped friends try to get things done. my new British Buddy For*******r we helpped him get SAM, NIN, BST jobs finished. helpped him get rank 4-5 and even got him his level back back after he attacked something a little to big for him.

am currently raising my next chocobo my first one was a Blue hoping to get a green or red this go around. o and i got the last of m Runic Portal's

now for the funny stories which arnt that funny or many. it was a bland tip this time..


HOW NOT TO CLICK THE ???

so i was being the big cool high level dude and helpping the new guy get Ninja unlocked right. well i zone into that cave place i cant remember its name thats under bastolk. knowing i have the map. we take off running. i get to the bottom and remember all my markers are gone. because the last time i was in this stinking cave i was playing on PS2. CRAP so here i am running thro every cave nook and hole tryingto find the right map that has the stupid ??? on it.

well after 45 mins i find it. i couldnt find jack crap. so i stand ther and am talking to him thro Xbox live. and i say now when u click the ??? 3 nm leeches pop up and ill have to kill them just stand there so i dont have to worry about you dieing. he replys "you going to buff up?" i say yea . about this time my wife comes in the room and asks waht im doing. i look at her and tell her and i hear "Opps" i look back at the screen and not only has the guy spawned the nm but also linked 3 other leeches that were standing close by.

in my ear pieces i hear "no i cant if i do ill get killed you Twit. i told you not to touch it"

i diaga and claim all the leeches kill them all while almost wetting myself laughing at the sentence. my eyes are watering and im aboutto pass out rembering when i have clicked ??? without making sure everyone was ready. my wife sees the hole thing and shes laughing

that next day were doing TOAU missions and were doing black Coffer. and were looking for the ??? to spawn the nm and she finds it and bong clicks it. "omg i just didnt click that" i look over and said yep you did. your going to put this on ala arn't you?" yep. "A$$hole one of these days your goingto do something really stupid and i'm goingto post it on every forum out there" why should i let you post it when i can myself?

Well, if I have a major fallacy in all of this, it tends to be my willingness to leap to any kind of a defense of a friend or someone with a good reputation at a moments notice or the moment an issue is spotted. When you earn people's trust, it should be fairly defended. Mega and Snipps are just one example. There’s plenty of other examples out there for both in-game and real life… but that’s for another thread. If I cross the line in defending someone, I apologize for past and future transgressions. It's just the passion in me - just know that I care about my friends and would fairly defend should the need arise. I will continue to try to curtail my temper and be a better person. I hope the last year or so has already produced results.

In the meantime, you need to know that I like to run around in a robe and subligar in the Dunes during EXP parties. Please make sure to .dat swap accordingly.

yeah, the campaign battles are pretty sweet, what you can do to skillup is just not enter the campaign, but just fight the mobs.

last night me and the misses were duoing as BST in TOA. well it was time we moved the xp had droped alot since we hit 63. so as im looking i notice i didn't have the map to the mire. so we get to looking and its a quest. and look it up on ala and we go do the cut sceens in town. it takes about 5 mins for each one of these stupid pointless cutsceens. i'm not a girl i dont want to watch NPC soaps. and they better thank what ever higher power that i dont have control of my char durin these things.

cause 3/4 of them i would as an example. push the little taru Arse hat in the ocean. saved me a lot of trouble and maybe just maybe made the world a batter place but noooooooo SE likes to make thing that would be 30 sec long into 3 hour ordeals. well enough of my EMO SE ranting. what can i say im long in the tooth on FFXI so i can do that lol.

anyway we after reading the posts on ala and seeing as how perople at 70 were able to solo it. 2 63 BST with vt 2 houred pets should be able to spank it. well lets jsut say people love to underplay how tough this little bas^ard is. by the time i was able to move he hit me 3 times and i was 1/2 dead. i sick my pet on it. my wife thrown her pet on it. and were off locating new pets. waiting for them to die to send in the next way.

well as soon as mine dies i target the closest mob and poof its claimed. THF soloing in the Zone claimed it. all well ill move to the next one. and to my suprise there isnt any. the THF in the area had killed most everything that was good enough to use. so i charm a bird. turn and BAMN i fall over dead. my wife claims her pet send it in and it kills her two. it de-spawns and she pops Reraise. the THF does a say.

my wife turns to me and starts to say something . and i cut her off. hell no im not doing it as my SMN. she says crap. and i can see she is starting to get mad and upset. if those thf weren't taking our mobs we would have.... i cut her off again . it had nothing to do with the THF dear. we just cant do it. no excuses were just cant do it . maybe at 75 but right now we cant.

we start waling to the tower . and a group of people are fighting a NM dino looking thing DEA or something. i dont remember its name. there running it around the towner in little circles . so i sit down and start watching them kill it.they go around and around and around. then it does its AOE move and a few of them fall over dead.

well i tell my wife lets go raise there dead and help keep them alive.
wont they think were going to steal it? i tell her no we got nothing else to do so why not help some people. well after raising a bunch of them and casting what Cure III we could they beat it. and i descided to ask them for help.

they argee. we walk over to the nm's spot i pop it. and within 8 SEc its dead.
i thank them. and tehy head back to town.

the THF is standing there. and i say
Mega- who needs a SMN lol.

and we run off pleased at the kindness very rarely shown these days on FFXI in endgame areas. have a wounderful day on FFXI and RL

P.S before any SMN starts to give me crap about it. i am a LVL 70 SMN and love the job. im just not doing it. ill break a nail. j/k
