Hello, all. I am Lewkis, formerly from the Gilgamesh server. I haven't played since October, but would love to come back. I have SCH at 85, and a few others I'll probably be leaving at 75. Most of my friends left FFXI long ago, so I doubt I'll know many if any people on Carbuncle since the server merge. Are there any good social linkshells I should watch out for to join? Any linkshells I should avoid? I'm mainly looking to just get back into the swing of the game right now, so anything will help :)

I joined a linkshell named Mythical Relics - it's one of those all sack ls's but the leader is a decent enough dude. TheDeadliest, I think his name is. It's a fairly large social and if you are ok with a bit of a "noober" experience, they might be a good fit for you.
The other ls I joined seems to have fallen apart so I won't even bother mentioning them. As far as who to look out for - We'll have to hope that someone native to Carby can give up that information.

They summon fireballs and fart lightning. From their eyes.
Even thinking about them makes enemies explode.
Having one in your PT is like a free ticket to defeat Absolute Virtue.
That's the reason why only one of them is allowed in PvP. Per server.
Imagine a cross-breed between Allakhazam and Sun Zu. That's a Black Mages's toenail.

I'll keep an eye out for both the LS and TheDeadliest. My wife and I both are still looking for a linkshell, but are hesitant to find it by way of shouting in Jeuno or something like that. Thanks :)

is the game lively for people leveling from scratch?
This server is pretty lively. Theres always people leveling in Gusgen and Crawlers Nest. Those two seem to be the hot spots on this server.
