Everyone loves seeing pictures of Tarutaru wrestling in jam, especially continental raspberry Jam from the United Kingdom. Well, it turns out that this thread has been only about this subject the entire time. Any of you that thought or claim different are either in the wrong thread or delusional.

Share stories, or discuss! Pictures appreciated.

Fisrt up, I dont really know what you expect to get from this post on alla. No disrepect to you or the people that post here, but it will turn into a massive flaming war between you and the die hard ls memnbers. Or due to the fact noone reads this forum itll just be lost in dust and moth balls.

Kudos to you for a well written if a little long post. It beats the usual "Waaaaahhh!" posts people make when leaving a linkshell.
This is obviously a problem that the ls members are aware of, so why the hell are people sitting back and taking it up the ass just to be a part of it?

Now this is interesting again to read cos now i guess since this is public im gonna reply to it this time around.

Now emifox i believe you have been the only one who approched through tells leaders of the shell about gods / kirin / dynamis xarc hmmm why is that ppl may ask?

One day there was a time where EQ linkshell were done with sky due to most/all ppl having what they wantsd and we bought god pops so that ppl could get certain items from certain gods i.e buying 3 byakko pops for 1 person to get haidate cos they attended all events and did there job while at events.

One day later on we get an inclimb of members all needing sky gear *shock* we cant spend 5 mil a week to gain 500k-1mil back a week JUST cos you want "Fast Pants" right now, so EQ decided since we had so many ppl now needing sky gear to start back up once a week sky farming which Emifox didnt like very much cos that mean not getting her item when she expected it to be hers.

Now any LS leader would agree with me when i say if you keep a balanced LS bank it will never run low or run out, if you are constantly paying out for god pops and kirin seals everyweek and only getting 2 dynamis currecny sales back in per week yes it will run out very fast.

Now onto how i get some nice gear and this im gonna have some fun talking about now after doing ZNMs i gained a drop called Hachiryu Sune-Ate i believe they are going for somewhere between 4mil+ well anyways thats gil went into my Avalon Breastplate.
Now to my Kyudogi hmmmmm i think you are actually mistaken about this Joliie my GF actually bought the mats to that and got it crafted "BEFORE" you even entered our linkshell and before she even was made a sackholder to EQ Linkshell.
Now to the final item in that picture hmmm i wonder if you saw when i bought them i had just sold a pair od OKotes that i actually have owned since i lvled mnk from 35-75 nearly a year ago now got a nice 800k for them so that was a nice big chuck of my hermes sandals amount.

Truth is i know how to make gil in this game and i always am doing it when not having to run LS events as many ppl see me fishing for devil manta and have got the drop many times, i merit alot as ppl know with a total of 573 merits my ISP is high im always doing ISNMsm at the same time i farm seals KS also BS and do runs, i do ENMs with groups of ppl and we split the drops evenly.

all i have to say to end this is that emi you are jealous of ppl in general who have same jobs as you (always voting no on apps that were ppl of the same job as you) and you hate it when someone gets an item that you have been wanting it for a while and still cant get yet, yes this might sound as if im boasting but you see i dont need to cos all of the jobs, access on my character, merits gained, and gear that it has on it has been gotten through effort and paitence which i will openly say you have none of that cos you want something to come to you when you want it and this game if it worked that way everyone would be running around with Kclubs and so on this game has ans will always be about putting in that effort and having that patience coe drops arent 100%.

anyways im done talking but if ppl felt the same way as you Emi they would have up and left already by now and if they dont then they are not like you and have paitence and are willing to put that effort in for that gear they want cos they know in the end of all of it they will get it and the bottom line is you left mainly cos you want Fast Pants and Valor Body and cos we are sky farming again you aren getting it fast enough and cos we arent spamming dynamis xarc we arent getting YOUR valor body quick enough im sorry but thats pathetic.

I like that Mattaus didn't respond to just about anything in Emi's well thought out post about things she actually had a problem with. Instead, we get a long, punctuation void, ad hominem attack. That doesn't seem very fair. I know I have no part in this other than a spectator (where's my popcorn), but my curiosity has been piqued with all this bank shadiness.
Yay for morning drama! :D
I have to agree with Branwen though, better than most drama posts, but probably shouldn't have expected anything more out of Matt. I guess you could've expected punctuation though XD. Two commas and two periods in the last two paragraphs? Priceless.
Either you fail at English, Matt, or Emi got your goat and you're flustered, which means she probably had some valid stuff that you decided to avoid with all that childish personal attack nonsense.

-Kanios

edit: Oh wait, he responded to the picture. So I guess he responded to Emi's personal attack, but still ignored the rest of it.

Mattaus I understand your prediciment. Even as a social ls leader I can never make everyone happy all of the time. We started doing sky and everyone started demanding items.
I really dont have a solution to this problem, but I would suggest that all decisions should be posted plainly in your ls forums so that members can discuss and understand why certain decisions are made. To my mind what you have said makes sense, but if you hadnt explained it I would assume you were whoring the gil away for your own gain.
I also suggest that as well as your sack holders being privy to decisions within the ls that you have a member with a normal pearl who can voice the thoughts of other pearl members to the sacks. Alot of these problems arise when these core people do not feel listened to by the members higher up the chain.

@ kanios - lol!

Also, also, I believe that OP fails to understand that allowing someone to sponsor dynamis these days is basically like handing them the keys to your money machine, since furthermore Einherjar loses 360k a week and sky barely makes a profit if you even get anything but crystals and kirin's poles.

Dynamis is most shells' only income and you can't just take it away and give the money to one member without a LOT of discussion even if every member present spits and whines and throws a fit over it.

PS It's smart to keep a floating fund of several mil even with a good income, so, don't expect to see the sky rain haubergeon+1s and toreador's rings upon you the minute the LS gets a 100piece.

the end xoxo

Mattaus- I'm glad to see you only responded to the picture Kane drew. As for the personal attacks, I don't know where you're getting most of that from. Votes on your website are supposed to be anonymous and I certainly didn't vote no on people just because they had a job I have. I didn't expect gear to rain down upon me, I wasn't a loot whore, and I'm only one of many people who have left for these exact same reasons (specifically the last six or so people that have left, and yes I've talked to them).

I didn't expect others to respond not involved in the LS, and I still would be happy to take this down and post it in private on the LS forums if you would even allow it.

Kylia and others- if it's tl;dr just don't read it, what's the point of posting anyway if you didn't? It's not like myself and others I've talked to in the LS expected the LS bank to directly go into member's pockets- just actually be used to fund SOME events. If you read the post, you'd know it was the secrecy of the bank that was also a problem. The bank post was mysteriously taken down, but last time it was up the total was at 30 million. That's 30 million with no plans to use any of that besides to fund more Einherjar and Dynamis- despite members asking to do more. So it's not that I'm greedy and "zomg have to have mah fast pants RIGHT NOW" because I'm fine with taking time to get gear, as usually I enjoy the events in themselves. If I were greedy, I wouldn't have left the linkshell I've been in for 6 months with a ~60% attendence rating with 355 points, specifically when most of those events didn't drop gear I needed.

It's when members concerns are blatantly ignored and censored combined with an ever-growing bank used for nothing other than to make the bank larger that makes this leadership substandard.

Only if we're fighting with naked tarus and jam.... how perverse am I?

Back on topic, I did read the whole post. And I can see where both parties are coming from. Secrecy within an ls leads to assumptions and denials. Mattaus I suggest you learn from what Emi is saying and try and put into practise some methods to eliminiate this from happening again. Emi is allowed her opinion and I really dont think she would be posting on here if this really wasnt a problem for her and the others who have left. AND the many that no doubt moaned to her, but didnt leave the ls.

hi my name is not kelly or kylia. they call me hell, they call me stacey, etc.

if you're gonna post a novel-length tirade about an ex-ls, be prepared for the consequences, including that others not involved will read it! Just so you know, I did read your post, but it was super boring and didn't contain any actual evidence or facts! Except that Mattaus can't type a coherent sentence, but we all know that.

1) There is no fair way to spend 30M gil within a LS. There just isn't. Unless it's to pay for 25% of a leader's relic, or useless body pieces like kyudogis. Oh ho ho. No matter what decision is made, someone will bitch. I guess today, that lucky person is you. Yay!

2) I can think of far more convincing relic prospects than some guy who shows up to Dynamis one day expecting to sponsor. Hey, Stage 2 is 2/5s of Stage 5 rite?

3) Sorry, you just come off as whiny. Buying sky pops is actually a ridiculous waste of money and a great way to destroy a ls bank if a lot of people need gear, but it's ok since you totally helped earn the money along with all the other LS members amirite? I mean it's not like a LS can invade sky and come out with 3M worth of pop items in an evening right? Oh you can? Bummer.

PS PROTIP: Proxies are great for bypassing bans! LS forum gogo!

Given that you literally said "tldr," it's safe to make the claim that you didn't read it. I also don't care you found it boring as the people in my LS did not. Maybe since you weren't involved in any of this, that could account for why you didn't find it interesting? Hmm? Anyway nobody was saying "let's all go out and spend 30 million gil and not think of how wasteful it will be!"

No, more like "perhaps, since the bank grows by a large amount each week, maybe we could use it to do events that the majority wants to do." I, and others, have even suggested to the leaders "how about we buy sky pops once a month and also farm so people can get the gear they want." Never a response to that, of course, it just makes too much sense. Events shouldn't always be about gaining a positive net to your bank at all times, but when you have a large surplus, spending it wisely to help out members.I can think of 12 people off of my head right now that either suspect foul play involved in the bank, have left because of that, or are staying in the LS for a bit longer but still are very suspicious. I'm not speaking only for myself, and I'm fine with being the person that puts this out in the open and has to be seen as whiny.

About the guy that wanted to sponsor relic: that was an example where the general LS members wanted to help out a long-time member with it, (and obviously not every run) but every now and then to further along his relic. What's the purpose of a LS bank if, when there's a large overage, it doesn't go to run events people want to do?

OK, now you explain it a little more rationally and concisely, I'm more inclined to take you seriously.

When you post this stuff on a public forum, it kinda looks like you're trying to tar someone's name... rather than "get the word out" which you could do privately via tells. 99% of these threads are someone butthurt because they got kicked from a LS and trying to drag people down with them, and just because you manage a page's worth of text instead of say

"AMGZ LadieYunie's LS chete me out of luminiom ore in ismn"

doesn't make you any more likely to be read by your target audience, or taken seriously. So don't be all upset when someone questions you, you post this publicly, expect the public to respond.

So did your LS leaders ever state an intention to buy AH gear or abjurations instead of stuff the LS was capable of farming?

I don't see how I explained it more rationally and concisely in my response, I just don't think you bothered to read the original thread (like you said in the first place). It's not like you have to read it, I did post this for my LS members, not for people outside of it to judge. I'm not mad or upset that I'm being questioned, that's expected, and I will take this down after the people in my LS get a chance to read it. I'm not leaving this up in case I happen to get read by my "target audience," I /telled them to look at it here so they should all see it soon enough; that's much easier than explaining to a lot of people this much information in a tell.

I originally tried to keep this just in the linkshell, but since that is no longer an option as my 2,600 word post was taken down right after it was posted, I still intend for my LS mates to be able to read it if they want to.

I'm in no way upset that I'm not being taken seriously by someone like you.

We used to buy sky pops occasionally, and that was great. The greed grew, he gave commands, and all buying stopped together.

I talked to the LS leader today and it went something like this:
him: "haha naow dat you left we bought all sky pops and THREE kirin runs, too bad for you"
me: "Good, I'm glad you've started to listen to the members, even if it's after I left."

To answer your question about if we bought abjs AH gear and what not the answer is in a ways we do.

i remeber from the last few kirin runs we did we had a few whms who couldnt afford Nobles Tunics and what we did with the shining clothes that dropped was have one of our clothe crafters make nobles tunics and offer them off for points as the LS is points based.

We also stated we would buy 'some' cured pieces when we seriously got back into sky farming we stated you cant have everything buy pops or have some abjs bought or have the LS bank hold the cured pieces have that Abjs go for more points but would come with the cured piece inculded which we did when we 1st created the Linkshell but as ppl decided that they were BORED of sky farming we decided to buy god pops.

The main reason why we decided to was we would have minimal attendance at sky farming then have complete attedance at god pops and kirin which leaders decided was not fair on the ppl who came to farm and also to pops so we decided since more ppl that were new to the LS needed sky gear we should farm sky again and only buy pops to fill in sets to complete them.

We had a bad sky run this week infact and we decided cos Zippy is now a pain in the ass due to rdms spending all day down there soloing it we never got it so we bought those pops to complete sets so we can get the new blms there ZMitts, we only farm sky once a week but since we have so many new members that arent as familiar with sky we have been trying to get them more up with getting around and knowing sky.

Really IF anything i would be more inclined to buy Sea pops for my LS we do too many events within a week to spend 4+ hrs farming 1 pop for a jailer or IX when sky is so easy to farm and doesnt take as much effort.

hope that answered ya question and understand a lil more but the only ppl who have left lately from my shell have left because they couldnt get something when they expected it unfortunately gear doesnt rain down from the sky just because there is 28 odd mil in the bank doesnt mean you have to stop working and putting the effort in to get what you want you see ME and the other 2 leaders dont need anything from sky but we do it for the ppl who need gear from there if it was to us we could stop sky completely but we dont.

I mean, I guess he's saying that since there was poor attendance at farming it would be unfair to then have good attendance at the god kills...but everything else is just kind of a jumble of letters.

Oh and, uh, I don't know how successful I would be drawing the Taru wrestling. I have trouble drawing a blank piece of paper if you get my meaning ><.

Now Emi decided to come to my GF and sackholder Joliie and told her all of this and that we should share it with the other leaders and we should know that hes planning on leaving to UWF and i see you went there.

So really you are mad cos you got kicked from the shell due to a rumor flying around well maybe you should look closer at your so called friend Emi cos it was her who got you kicked from the shell in the 1st place with her rumor that she started.

So anyways you have fun Emi your left, thats that im going to enjoy a nice 2 week vacation in New York with my GF away from forum trolls, whiners and bitches of FFXI.

Funny, because I was never mad about getting kicked out, it just made me make up my mind easier. I do like how you blame emi for this, when her and kane both came with me to UWF, as is Murda, maybe Volgan.

Nice Mattaus, well I can see this forum has progressed to a new level of foolishness. Considering we all joined together, that doesn't make too much sense.

Too bad I can't delete this like I originally thought; the members of the LS I wanted to read this have already read it, so its purpose has been served. If a moderator sees this I wouldn't mind that the whole thing gets deleted now if it's just going to transition into an all out sh*t fest.

Unless I see some Taru jam pics soon, I consider this thread dead.

Oh wow, this was a good read. It really was. I do have to give Matt some good words and credit because it definitely takes some skill to follow rules he didn't even make. What do I mean? lol Check this out: http://lskaishen.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=readaboutrulesandapply&action=display&thread=19

Look familiar?

But in all seriousness let me explain why matt has been /failing at following his own rules. Linkshell leaders make rules with other intentions behind them. Its like playing a game, theres always fine lines between the rules. Unfortunately Matt didnt know her intentions for these rules, thus making it imposable for him to follow them the way it was suppose too.

To clarify, those specific rules that were written that he stole insinuates that respect to others will build the linkshell as a whole and acquire trust. This trust in turn will accomplish things of great value, like hnm's or farming dyna runs, to build the bank where after the bank had about 10mil in it, the bank offers its playerbase to buy gil or items from it using points.

Its a shame that so many people were sucked into this plan to pimp his own character out, but in his defense, the Kyudogi was actually synth'd, I do know that, but then again its an lolkudogi. And I do have to give him credit for running a shell off fake rules for so long, you do put alot of effort into it! Good for you! Unfortunately, you wont ever be a competent leader if you don't start putting your members first instead of your gf/friends first. The day u realize your linkshell is based on the members will be the day your shell will actually run smoothly!

/bye!

Awesome thread! Bahamut forums have been lacking in drama. Needs MORE!

Also, lol at that Mattaus's gear. Suppa, Kyudogi, Whands, War Boots, Coral rings? Common! Have you ever even visited the RNG forum? And you sold Hachi feet for Avalon? Dude needs to stop worrying about his epeen and more about his stats.

Also OP, dont start a drama thread and say that it isnt. We all know that you just want to throw mud on your old shell, at least admit it.

My intention, as originally stated, was to be able to communicate this information to my LS as I'm still good friends with most of them. Therefore, "throwing mud" on my old LS was not something I had in mind, not only because I am still friends with the people planning on staying in the LS, and have left LSs before without it progressing to this, but because my intention was to delete this after the people I wanted to see it had a chance to.

I understood there would be probably be drama and would have preferred to have kept this on the private Equillibrium boards. If I wanted the drama to go on, I wouldn't be requesting that the thread be deleted now.

Also: lol@mattaus just copying someone else's rules.

LOL, you say you arent trying to make drama or defame your old ls publicly, yet you come onto Alla and post a 10 minute read publicly defaming your old LS leaders. Call me crazy but that sure sounds like mud slinging to me. Im not picking sides (drama's only fun if you're not the one involved), but really, if you wanted to alert only certain friends, you'd be doing this in tells, not on Alla.

Still, more mud! (Though I do like tarus and jam idea Branwen, :Q)

Ugh. I already said that I couldn't post it anywhere privately (since I was banned from the forums), and that communicating all of this to upwards of 25 people would be too troublesome in tell. If I really wanted further drama I wouldn't have deleted the post.

How about some "love poetry" for St. Valentine's occasion today.

Porphyria's Lover by Robert Browning

THE rain set early in to-night,
The sullen wind was soon awake,
It tore the elm-tops down for spite,
And did its worst to vex the lake:
I listen'd with heart fit to break.
When glided in Porphyria; straight
She shut the cold out and the storm,
And kneel'd and made the cheerless grate
Blaze up, and all the cottage warm;
Which done, she rose, and from her form
Withdrew the dripping cloak and shawl,
And laid her soil'd gloves by, untied
Her hat and let the damp hair fall,
And, last, she sat down by my side
And call'd me. When no voice replied,
She put my arm about her waist,
And made her smooth white shoulder bare,
And all her yellow hair displaced,
And, stooping, made my cheek lie there,
And spread, o'er all, her yellow hair,
Murmuring how she loved me—she
Too weak, for all her heart's endeavour,
To set its struggling passion free
From pride, and vainer ties dissever,
And give herself to me for ever.
But passion sometimes would prevail,
Nor could to-night's gay feast restrain
A sudden thought of one so pale
For love of her, and all in vain:
So, she was come through wind and rain.
Be sure I look'd up at her eyes
Happy and proud; at last I knew
Porphyria worshipp'd me; surprise
Made my heart swell, and still it grew
While I debated what to do.
That moment she was mine, mine, fair,
Perfectly pure and good: I found
A thing to do, and all her hair
In one long yellow string I wound
Three times her little throat around,
And strangled her. No pain felt she;
I am quite sure she felt no pain.
As a shut bud that holds a bee,
I warily oped her lids: again
Laugh'd the blue eyes without a stain.
And I untighten'd next the tress
About her neck; her cheek once more
Blush'd bright beneath my burning kiss:
I propp'd her head up as before,
Only, this time my shoulder bore
Her head, which droops upon it still:
The smiling rosy little head,
So glad it has its utmost will,
That all it scorn'd at once is fled,
And I, its love, am gain'd instead!
Porphyria's love: she guess'd not how
Her darling one wish would be heard.
And thus we sit together now,
And all night long we have not stirr'd,
And yet God has not said a word!

Hah! I'm eating chocolate haggen daas with marshmallows right now. Mmmm...
Yeah the direct meaning of TL;DR is: Too long, didn't read. Which tends to imply "I didn't read this post but I'm going to go ahead and make negative assumptions about it anyway and up my post count in the process."
Also, responding to something Kelly said, at least from my reading of the whole bank argument which Emifox made, is that it shouldn't be Matt's money machine, and that he was using it as such. That as a linkshell bank it should be the linkshell's money machine. Letting one member pay for a run to get currency to use it for the purpose it's in the game for (upgrading relics) doesn't really rise to the level of handing over the linkshell's ability to make money.
Then again, it doesn't seem like the events are being used as the linkshell's money machine per se, but rather as Matt's money machine, and I think that's what Emifox's problem is.
