Hi
I played FFXI at launch, on and off for a few years... but I never actually got anywhere. I had no high level classes, never did any of the stories and barely knew anything about the expansions lol.
I'm returning now with a fresh account and would like to join a Linkshell that's willing to help a noob out, you know, guide me in the right direction and hopefuly be-friend some of you :) There's one thing I remember vividly about this game, and it's the friendships you make along the journey, very keen for that.
The furthest I got (from what I barely remember..) was unlocking NIN and SAM, did the first dragon fight (rank 3? can't remember sorry) and that was pretty much it.
I'm keen to play it properly, finish all the stories and max out all my favourite classes.
TLDR: Looking for a friendly/social Linkshell that's willing to help an old-time beginner. :)

you might want to consider joining rdmcandie's noob shell, it's on Lakshmi but if you've just started, it would probably be worth it to reroll. I've never played with him but from his posts on the forum it's clear he's done and seen a lot, and his shell will be focused on helping new players ease into the new state of the game.

Hi, I just came back after being gone for a couple of years. Played prior to the 75-99 level expansions, but had just about every job at 75 at some point in the past. Very knowledgable about the game prior to those expansions up to and including the Aht Urghan zones.
Anyways my fiance and I came back just this past weekend and our old LS is empty (not surprisingly).. but we wanted to connect with some other people who are also returning players... we currently have 2 toons active at level 64 DNC and BRD, and play in the evenings from about 7-11 Eastern if someone can send me a tell in game during that time I would appreciate it.
My character is named Hairspray, on the Asura server.
My fiance is called Mewz.

I have a linkshell on Asura. We always accept new and returning players. We also do events such as atmas, megabosses and other abyssea stuff. 50% of the members are from Europe and 50% are from North America, so there will always be someone on all the time. We always lend a helping hand. If your interested contact Carefree, Arumok, Raynman, Levieen, Falciont or Pongratz for a pearl on the Asura server. We would be interested in having you join.

I've tried a few times to get into contact with said people but no one responds (maybe just busy). I have two accounts I'd like to get into the linkshell and have no problem helping anyone. I would just need help getting both characters 99 cap unlocked when there's time.

I have had same issue. Hit up a few on the list but no responce. They were in Jueno for about 30 mins so they were not that busy.

A lot of them go afk a lot and I guess they do not look at their past /tell's. I'll try and be on tonight though I will most likely be on tomorrow. My ign is Pongratz.
