Hey everyone! I am new to Asura, but not to FFXI. I also have a friend, Sofiacrimson who also restarted with me today. We both played on Quetz server. She quit over 3 years ago, and I quit about 2 years ago. We both decided that it would be cool to start fresh from the beginning. We are both looking for a social linkshell to join, and a little bit of help with a few quests since its been a while since we've done the low level stuff. Anyways, hope to run in to you all in game!

Just thought I'd peek in and say hi too >.>
Little bit of background info on us; my former main was MNK (somewhere 55ish-60 before I left?), Vanpersie was at least 75PLD (he can verify what level he was after my departure?) This round I'd like to do support classes (thinking BRD) instead of punching all the things.
We're nice people; level headed, willing to help as soon as we're able (I'm very guilty of this; explains why I never capped my main last time), we have a good sense of humor and we don't eat people's faces :)
We've also recently acquired Zemekis as a kindred soul, although since I just spoke with him today he'd have to tell you about his ffxi background.
I'm still parsing through the Asura linkshell list; but if you think you could provide a loving home to these three returning players feel free to contact any of us.
Looking forward to our future adventures together. Cheers!

Had the pleasure to meet Sofia today. We're both pretty anxious to get into an LS that is recruiting new players. :)
I was a 75 PLD & WAR back in the day, looking to try something different this time as I'm starting anew. I usually play nights and would love to get back into the game with others who are starting over. Looking forward to doing all the ZM, COP, TOAU, WOG missions and any other events. I'll be looking for other new players or Linkshells whenever I'm online.

Howdy everyone! I will be returning tonight myself after a long hiatus. It seems there are a few new/returning players starting on Asura so I will be joining this server myself. FFXI always had a top notch community compared to all the other games I have played. Maybe this is the reason I keep coming back :)
I am deciding to start from scratch much like you all and experience the new changes. Findind a great social LS would be awesome for a returning player. My normal play time will be mainly nights 6-10 EST. Van and Sofia I will look you guys up in game.

Hi there!! Yeah you guessed it, im a returning player myself and I recently have been trying to get into the swing of things as well, but the part i missed most were the players i grew close to, being able to help others with quests and leveling each others jobs but most of all helping others enjoy the true fun that is FFXI! but I've been a little overwhelmed with all the changes since i last played, now keep in mind its been 4 years since i last played so i know i have missed a lot since then. So after reading through these comments and noticing im not alone I would really like to connect with some of you in game if that is possible. Hey kyahh!! lol I think i was just in a party with you in Gusgen, anyways I am also a returning player!. Starting to get use to the changes bit by bit. Oh Yeah!! It was really nice meeting you! That was my first time doing a GoV, I had no idea what to really do at first lol. I hope we get to party again someday!!

Semi-resing this thread. I'm a returning player too! My friend who I normally play with can't get on til later in the day, and I'm always on in the day. I'm looking for a social/quest/mission ls, hopefully with a healthy dose of Windurstians to work with! I changed my character name in game, I'm Redbirdreborn, a lvl 12 WAR, trying to get to 15 to lvl THF and get NIN for a THF/NIN combo. =D If anyone with a nice LS is in the Windy area, please msg me or come find me! I'm so sad being all alone!
