Item Collector issues? Read this first.Follow

I didn't see this posted in the last couple of pages.

The profile updater isn't quite working for me.

My inventory, even bank slots says "unknown". I mention bank slots in piticular because the collector IS detecting the money on the character, it IS detecting the money in the bank, and it IS detecting the money in the trade slot. I have tried in promiscuious mode on and off....

System is a WinXP Home Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Motherboard is an Abit AN8 32X (relivant for networking info, using onboard networking), latest BIOS.
with an AMD 4400+ X2 Toledo core with 2GB of Crutial memory (relivant for bragging purpoces, I'm proud of this machine)

I can't think of anything else right now, if you need more info post and I'll get it to you. I was going to include the info from another source, but I cna't remember the command to run it, I keep trying to come up with "MSinfo" but that doens't work.

I am also getting the same issue as Cassandra and Spedi. More than half of my equipment returns "unknown". When I export to HTML, the tags say "unknown" but the links to the Lucy entries are correct. When I upload, my character equipment is blank for the slots that returned "unknown". This seems like a programming bug since all the items are in your database.

Is this being looked into or is it something that will be looked at after the new expansion?

What server is the character getting the unknown-server error on?

For a couple weeks now backend.exe has been giving me an error report every time I load EQ or zone after I restart item collector. I've tried uninstalling both Lucy and Winpcap and reinstalling and it does not fix the problem. I've tried changing the options too.

Anyone know what this could be?

The EQ Item Collector is driving me crazy. I have reloaded it twice once with security software off. The EQ Collector loads on my system fine and downloads all my charactor info but will not transfer it to Lucy.

I get:
Error: Unknown server error.

I get this when pressing the button, "Upload". I can save to html just fine but not do the most important thing with it.

I'm getting an nnknown server error when i try to upload my profile. I'm ob Erollisi Marr (Morell-Thule)

If you're getting the unknown errors, send a copy of the itemcol.db file from your item collector directory to rale@allakhazam.com. The file may be kind of large, so zip it, if possible. Sorry for the trouble.

still not transfering to LUCY, but otherwise, working fine.***

check that, it's uploading from vendors, but not stuff from my invetory, worn items, or bank items. not sure about bazaar traders--will have to check that later.

I am getting an error when cliking the upload button. I followed the directions in the readme file.
When I clik on update, it tells me "Permission denied, not logged in or not premium"

I am logged in as best I can figure, seeing that the site has never asked me to login yet...just seems to be logged in automatically each time I visit.

Any ideas?

in all my profiles 90 percent of my slots say charm aug. or they say Charm.
and about half the items are blank.


Deleteing the profiles makes no difference.

I am getting an "Unkown server error when attempting to upload one of my characters to your site. The character is NOT a new one, I've had him for several years, and he does have a profile already on site, but just started getting this the past couple of weeks. I downloaded the latest version of Item Collector, and uninstalled the previous before installing this one. The following is from IC when in windowed mode. Also, most of my characters items are only partially listed in the profile. There are partial names, and items I don't even have on this char.

yep getting "unknown server error" too. After I have tried to uninstall and reinstall countless times forwards and backwards, with my fingers crossed and my arms folded and even with my tongue out, I STILL get it. I give up !

I'm still getting this as well.It lists my server, name and a few other things correctly in the profile section of the item collector, but the items seem incomplete and incoherent; there are alot of listings for "charm augmentation" which display part or all of a real item name, but are not actually related to charms in any way. It does seem to mis-list my equipment in the same way every time. I tried deleting the database and starting it again, but that just made it happen to all my toons instead of just a select few. I tried reinstalling the collector, but to no avail. This makes the collector totally useless for uploading a profile or to click on an items name and get more Lucy info on the carried items.
Can you please get this thing to work again or at least reply to this thread. Everyone keeps posting about problems but we never hear anything for weeks/months.

It looks like the item collector has stopped collecting items entirely as of the Mar. 14 patch. The same is true of the EQItems collector, which suggests to me that there was a change (again) in how item information is sent from the EQ server to the client.

Edit: I've tested this on three different PC's. The item collector does detect the presence of EQ, and it tries to collect, but it gets nowhere.

The Item collector is working better. However in it says I do not have 10 of 13 expansions. (Have them all) Under AA edit does not show offer DoD page. Is there A = True/False setting somewhere that needs to checked?

Look like the EQ data collector is not colllecting any more data after the patch on the 20th or perhaps the patch just before that).
