Ability to unlink POL ID's from Square Enix AccountFollow

It's not a huge request. I myself am in a predicament where I wish this option was available and I've seen other posters here at Allakhazam over time who have as well. I'd even be willing to accept if you had to call POL and give all your information attached to do it.

I just don't see the security threat or potential abuse in being able to unlink your POL IDs from your SEID account. It's a service to help us better protect our accounts and also to help when you (Square-Enix) as new games come in. We should have control over what we want under our SEID account.

Except I don't want to sell my account and I'd appreciate you not being a troll and jumping to that conclusion. I said nothing about wanting to sell my account and never would participate in RMT. There are legitimate reasons why someone would want to unlink accounts.

Seperation of people who linked themselves under the accounts, not understanding how permanent it is, etc. Legally, no they have no reason to do so but from a customer standpoint it would be a good option to have.

FYI: If someone was really dead set on selling their accounts. You can still just sell all accounts under it together and just give them the SEID account information and create a new Square-Enix ID just as you said.

There is a reason. I quit in 2005. SE had a policy of deleting your characters after 3 months. I had a 100 smither. I did not want to sell my character nor have all my hard work deleted.

So, I gave my account to a real life friend to keep it alive. Five years went by and the account was still alive. My friend added my account as well as his to a security token. He did not expect my return after 5 years. Although I returned on September of '09

I have to text him every time, that I want to log on. We won't deactivate the token, due to the fact that his account has been hacked and stolen, and I would not want my own account to be stolen (I play on PC), also I lost my serial number (of course over 6-7 years ago) so I would be unable to recover it, if it was stolen.

If I get disconnected at 4am. I won't be able to get back on. Any events in progress will go on without me, and I just sit in the corner of my room and /cry.

SE needs to consider unlinking certain accounts. I would rather my character be deleted than sold to some random person, and have my reputation destroyed.

If your friend paid for the account for 4 years, he has owned it longer then you... don't you think it's fairer to let him keep it? Not to mention the constant begging for codes at random times must get annoying after a while.

Just make a new account, and use the old one as a crafter/dual-box whenever either of you need it (which your friend has been doing for 4 years no doubt.) Depending on the cost of those texts and the number of times you need a code each day, it might actually be cheaper.
