This MIT developed camera can see around walls. The mechanisms they used to make it are quite ingenious.

That's a pretty impressive usage of time of flight. That camera is packing some serious hardware. That's a sampling rate of 500GHz which is incredibly fast for a data acquisition system. I can't imagine that the resolution is very high, probably 3-4 bits per sample. Very, very cool.

Looks like a sonar, except that it uses light instead of sound to cause the echo effect.
