I watch most of my TV online because I can't be arsed to be in front of the television when the show is actually airing. Also, a few of the shows I watch like Dexter air on premium channels. When I actually get around to watching these shows, a lot of the time, uploaders load these videos to Megavideo. Unfortunately, Megavideo has a time limit on how much video you can watch before you have to wait around 54 minutes to watch more content.

Here is a Firefox add-on that circumvents Megavideo, Megaupload, and Veoh's time limits:

It isn't the most polished website around (the explanation of the add-on is obviously written by a person who uses English as a second or third language) but the add-on works. After installing it, you pretty much only have to follow five steps to watch as much content from these sites as you want:

1. Open video.
2. Click "Remove Limitation."
3. New page will load (or window) that contains the video on their website.
4. ???
5. Profit.

I've only used it a bit so far but it seems pretty solid and has a solid four star rating on Mozilla's site with over 2 million downloads.

Admins, if you end up moving this to to =5 can you wait a few days? I know quite a few people here don't browse the TV/Anime forum and they might appreciate this.

I can only find certain anime fandubs(they haven't been brought to the US yet, so I watch fandubs/subs) in Megavideo, and I pretty much adore you right now.

Edit: Apparently I wrote dubs when I meant subs.

PFORU, but thank you for the link. I will totally be using this for megavideo; I also use it for Dexter. Other sites like Youku and Tudou work sometimes, but man, the Chinese subtitles get tiresome. Plus they don't translate Spanish to English (obviously), so I sometimes miss what Angel or Maria are saying. Luckily Spanish is my second language so it isn't that bad, but I like to understand everything, not 75% :-P

Just so you know, this isn't working for me. Megavideo timed out like normal; whenever I clicked on the new symbol it was grayed out and nothing would come up. Not sure what the issue is. Am I doing it wrong?

Yeah same. I was reading the reviews and it appears megavideo updated something on their site. I hope that the people that made the app update it also. [:frown:]

Ok so I've determined using my head is bad for well... my head.

Oh, but while I remember before imminent amnesia sets in... illimitux still seems to work for megavideo files, but you need to wait for the 45 second counter to end or whatever. It used to work for rapidshare and deposit files too, but it dosent seem to anymore. I also know there's also a download option for a lot of embeded videos, but I've never actually tried using it because I have another program I can use for that if I ever needed to.
