Solo MKE final fightFollow

I am close to finishing my two -pdt axes for BST and was looking into acquiring the helmet from MKE as my next piece in my -pdt set. I'm curious if I can solo it with just the two axes in -pdt gear and Perle gear (Yes, Perle, I know, please don't hate me) for the most part.

I have BST categories fully merited, 5/5 in Beast Healer, Beast Affinity, Reward Recast and Call Beast Recast. I also have all other categories fully merited except for attributes (makes me cry every time I say it).

I really just want to know if I'm kidding myself here, and should acquire some other pieces first, or could I actually do it? What pet should I use? If I do need more gear, which pieces should go after that I can, preferably, solo? Also, is soloing ACP and ASA possible as well at my current gear level?

Just looking for some information. Any would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone in advance.

I recently tried this fight on my BST. I failed, but I failed because of my own stupid mistakes, not because it wasn't possible; it's very possible. My mistake was not realising his regular attacks have a small AoE range, or at the very least cone-AoE. I got hit because I tried to melee with my pet and then, on his second form, his draw-in + Damage/Terror TP move killed me. I need to try again but you have to complete ALL the fecking mini-games again -.-

My advice is to use Falcorr, don't melee, and sub something that isn't NIN or DNC that can heal you in some way. /SCH would be good for this fight if you have it since the moogle takes 4x magical damage, and 1 Drain/Aspir can bring you back to full HP/MP (or so I've read). Bring a couple of mulsum if you feel like a backup is needed but Reward alone should be fine.

As far as the fight goes, if you can survive his draw in + pwnage, you're pretty much set. It does heavy damage (like 900-ish to me) and inflicts terror for ~10 seconds. You'll kill him to 75% and he will use it, so make sure that you're @ 100% HP when he's about to get to that. When you get him to 50% he will go away and recover HP, and summon some mage moogles which have hate on whoever had hate on the main moogle. Falcorr can take the spell spam no problem and I never actually rewarded him while he killed them all, and kill them all he did. You can help kill them as long as you run when you see an AoE being cast and you're careful about their TP moves.

When he rejoins the battle, and he will rejoin when he's @100% HP (sometimes sooner) and is invulnerable until you kill all the mini-moogles. He then repeats the same pattern. When you take off 25% of his life he'll draw you in and rape you with Crystalline Flare, and when you've taken 50% of he'll retreat, heal, and summon his buddies. If you make it this far you've pretty much won. On his third and final form he will never draw you in, so stick your pet on him, get out of range of Crystalline Flare and that should be the end of things.

Get your HP to 100% before his Crystalline Flare and this fight shouldn't pose much of a problem.

Edit: One more thing! Pull him to the entrance at the start of each phase (I didn't do this... another reason for my failure) and then let your pet do all the work. The only thing that will kill you this way is his draw-in + Crystalline Flare, and if you die at the entrance you can RR without aggro, with the added bonus that he never regains HP.

As far as I'm concerned gear is irrelevant for this fight since meleeing is what will get you killed. Monster Gloves +2 would be helpful but I doubt they're necessary; they're soloable, though!

I'll add a bit more to this.
/sch is the BEST support job for bst in this fight. /whm and /rdm are acceptable, but /sch will work best, imo.

Main boss, if not all of them, take extra Darkness damage.
/sch can do Manifestation Sleep when the little moogles come out. However, Drain is the most powerful cure you can get from a subjob in this fight. I have drained 900 in one casting of the spell before.
You can AoE Aspir, Drain, Sleep. These are all very potent for the fight. This is a pet only fight. you just run around and stay alive and out of damage as best as you can.

Its not a hard solo if you approach it right, but you can easily die if you don't.

..As far as merits go....
5/5 Beast Affinity has 1 purpose, and 1 purpose only. It gives you a level 99 Nazuna if you have the Monster Gloves +2 fully upgraded.
Double check the familiar's page on Wikia to see all the level caps for the high level jugs.
There are only 6x of the new jugs which do not go to level 99 w/out BA merits. they are Nazuna, Clyvonne, Anna, Julio, Sieghard, Cetas.
If you have Monster gloves +2, then just 2x BA merits will get you all but Nazuna and Clyvonne. Frankly, Clyvonne doesn't appear to do anything Shasra doesn't. Nazuna has some unique benefits, but I prefer to have my merits elsewhere. (I've always resented that SE put level caps on jugs. Seems like you have to pay for your own shirt after you've worn it awhile.) However

Unfortunately I do not have Monster Gloves +2 or any relic gear or AF3 gear, but thank you for the information about Beast Affinity. I was unaware that that was the case. I'll check that wikia page and re-merit accordingly.

Is Dynamis soloable without great gear? I'd love to get some relic gear and what not, but I'm not terribly familiar with how difficult it is to solo. If there's a sticky or some guide that someone could point me to (if one exists of course), that would be great.

Otherwise, I'll definitely look into soloing the fight. Sounds pretty fun and not too difficult. Are ACP and ASA soloable in the same way? Or do they require better gear?

Again, gear is mostly irrelevant in Dynamis farming. The level correction makes our pets stupidly strong against pretty much everything that used to be considered endgame. You'd need access to Dynamis - Xarcabard to farm the gloves, or Tavnazia, but once you're in there you find a good camp and pull some demons! There's some good camps on the little stage-like areas in the middle of the map. Since any demon can drop any AF I'd suggest that you camp on the little stage-thingy that's surrounded by demon MNKs and THFs, since they're very easy to kill and pose little threat. Stay away from Ninja-type demons... they think it's funny to run in a weird path and link about 10 of their friends. You'll want /DNC for healing, and you can also proc !! with DNC JAs on the THF/MNK demons for some money drops.

I recently duo this fight with a whm and I highly recommend a /whm, /rdm or /sch as a sub for this if you are soloing. Also, stock up a few hi ethers if you can as they will help a lot. The reason you really need the mage sub is the draw in that will deal roughly 50% of your HP. AOE spells will also hit you hard if get hit. I used the slug pet so I could AOE the henchmen while I kill them and the pet proved to be really strong for this fight.

The henchmen will be your greatest challenge. From the beginning just throw your pet at the boss and stay out of range. If you get drawn in run out of range to cure. Once the the henchmen pops, stay your pet or sic it to the henchmen as soon as possible or you'll be hit with AOE. Once the hence men are on your pet you can engage to melee and kill them fast. Most of them will die with a few melee hits and 1 ruinator but be careful to run when you see them throwing AOE spells. The key to stay safe here is to take the henchmen out asap before the boss rejoining to make the fight more difficult. This process will repeat twice.

Near the end, you'll have to fight the boss with the henchmen so make sure your pet has all the hate while you melee down the boss. It would be faster to take out the boss in the end rather than working on the henchmen as along as you can keep your pet alive with mulsum and reward. Also, I highly recommend using run wild here so your pet can get a very potent regen effect.

Equipment wise I'd recommend lots of reward gear and the -pdt axes. Also having damage dealing equipments for ruinator will speed up this fight a lot.

It is definitely doable. Here is a link to an older thread with a lot of strategies.

I soloed this for the head piece. It's been a while but I used this strategy except I subbed dnc. Died the first time after eating Crystalline Flare a couple of times. Second time I brought a wing for TP and a couple meds, but only got hit with Crystalline Flare once. I'm sure it would have been easier with whm or something more useful subbed, but I never took whm past 26.

My gear wasn't well geared for my pet. I think outside of -pdt axes, I had the 5% pet haste belt. Good luck.

I recently completed MKE but did the final fight on BLU.

Its a 30 second solo if you have one, or know one.

No idea about doing it on BST.
