Ok, been /checking some BST's in town and trying to read up a bit on threads in here. I think I have a basic idea of what to go for based on what I want. I made myself some magian axes (one is up to the 50 soil geodes, the other I just need to finish Aquans). I am going to try to start on some Atmas tonight AFTER... I try to solo the Moogle fight for a new -pdt hat.

That leads me to my next question. Any tips for this fight? I am planning to take Nursery Nazuna and sleep the moogles. Other than that I am just winging it. Any suggestions? Thankies!

Ok, got the win, albeit not solo (I fired off a shout in Jeuno and got 4 ppl immediately). I'm looking at the list of augments and I can't decide which is best for my 2nd augment. I am leaning towards the +5% haste. Thoughts?

high priority atma for bst work in abyssea:

Atma of the Razed Ruins
Atma of the Ducal Guard
Atma of the Mounted Champion
Atma of the Sea Daughter
Atma of the Voracious Violet
Atma of the Gnarled Horn
Atma of the Sanguine Scythe

There are many useful atma, but these will cover pretty much everything you will want to do on bst in abby. I put them in what I think is the order of importance, or at least pretty close.

If you are level 99, then there is no reason you can't farm ancient currency in dynamis. (gear really doesn't matter much for that) Its the most time efficient way to make money in the game, and bst is very good at it.

if you do decide to go back and solo moogle kupo d'etat final fight, I suggest /sch. for the sleepga, and aspir and drain. They all work very well in that fight. you can stay on dark arts and drain for up to 900 hp.

After such a long break, I feel like I have to relearn the game again. So much has changed. BST was my first 75 job, but I feel like I barely know it now. It's fun but a bit daunting. There's so much to do to "catch up" and I find out about more daily as I'm playing. That's why I'm asking so many questions. Thanks for the patience and encouragement!

Soooo, update.

Good extended weekend for my BST. I made 2 Astolfos, re-ran the moogle quest for the helm, and quested Atma of the Ducal Guard. Now I need sleep.

Next goals: Finish BST merits, finish skilling axe to (new) cap, and start farming gear seals and more Atmas. But break is over so I'll be a weekend Warrior/Beastmaster again for awhile.
