One to rule them all!Follow

A lot of things have changed over the years and we have a ton of new armor and paths to choose when picking our armor. If today you had to only pick 1 piece of equipment per slot what would they be? I am just curious to what most BST with go with. I personally would go with all +2 Ferine and mostly mission/quest items in other slots just because I am a sucker for equipment with more of a meaning.

just one set? ferine +2 easily, but why would I want only 1 set?

frankly, even amongst the newer VW pieces so far I don't see anything that I prefer. There might be some dd improvements, but bst has never been only about dd.
Frankly I'm pretty satisfied w/ the dd I can dish out now.

I still haven't gotten spurrers, but thats what I want to finish me out.

I rather like the augmented armada I have:
CHR6
pet: haste 4, subtle blow 6 on feet,

CHR5, dex4
haste 3 on hands
though I would like to get the haste 4 on them.

doubles for my Primal rend this way, I have like +40 chr in my tp set... weird...

otherwise, only thing to top it off for balanced bonus between master and pet in my set is spurrer's and Aymur ^.^

I've spent about 20 more trying for that 4% haste on hands w/ no luck. (it only took 6 tries to get the feet though!!)

I'm jealous of Kya. His are the same augments as mine for the hands, but only slightly different in the amounts. 4% haste, 3 dex, 4 CHR iirc.

Dang, I'm jealous of those Armada Mufflers too... but I have pretty terribad luck. Was happy to see this pair of Armada Sollerets after about 80 tries. I didn't get any Call Beast- on them, though I might make an NQ pair for that purpose rather than waste another billion tatters making a perfect HQ Armada.

As for the OP (picking 1 piece of equipment per slot), man, that is really friggin' hard, haha. I love my 'Pet onry' setup, it's similar to the one most hardcore BSTs have, with the dedicated add-on scenario equipment and whatnot. But, I made a Guttler and I like to get my hands dirty, so even if I had to pick only one setup, it would probably receive a Master-focus. Well, there isn't a whole lot of need for lengthy explanation since it's just for funsies, so here's what I would be using:

Phorcys Salade / Portus Collar / Suppanomimi / Brutal Earring
Ferine Gausape +2 / Nomkahpa Mittens / Epona's Ring / Brutal Ring
Atheling Mantle / Twilight Belt / Ferine Quijotes +2 / Ferine Ocreae +2

In the imaginary world where we can only wear one piece of equipment per slot, I'd love the large amount of Double Attack for TP and WS phase (I'd be sad that my pet would take such a beating because very little here assists him/her/it, but... I'll shove a supply of mulsum down its throat ; ; ). I'd really have to hope that whatever situation I'm in doesn't require Primal Rend damage either... there's some CHR on the Quijotes +2 but other than that... Ruinator fo' lyfe? ^^

I really liked Shadowsong's set as well. Is the regain Moonshade your single-wield earring option? I was thinkin' of making one for that purpose...

For single-wield setups, what is the shield of choice? Tatami? Or something else?
Edit: Looking around, are there any useful shields besides Tatami/Pallas' for those occasional times when you aren't dual-wielding? Maybe Thuellaic Ecu depending on the haste setup...?
