I do believe a very long time ago in the past! when life of the bst was exciting and crawlers nest was inacsessable to the trains of crawlers at the main zone, that BeastMasters once where able to charm greater Birds.

Just remember reading about it somewhere, but have no evidence.

would be cool to give us it back

Not to bash the idea, but I really wish that they would work on something more ... useful. I mean, when was the last time you were at an exp camp, and saw an EM Malboro that would have made a great pet? These mob types (greater mobs) are usually the stronger hunt in the areas that they're in, so the ability to charm them would be gimmicky, and the use would be ridiculously situational (the only thing I can think of immediate would be using Manticores against Ada in VoS).

Make some high-level jug pets out of them, though ... now you're talkin'.
