Goading belt is easy now. Like retarded easy. It's harder to get the pops than to take Lacovie down in the end. Drop rate isn't stellar but acceptable compared to sh*t like Pluviale.

Get yourself a Hoard Ring in the meanwhile just because they're handy and cheap. Won't probably make your 5-hit but it's something to hold onto if we get some new WS that isn't 4 hit in the future or if you finish Penitence or even Reckoning.

Never realized what a boon Guillotine and Split Building was until I tried to make a clean 5-hit for Infernal Scythe. Not that I have much gear relevant to the WS anyway but I had to WS in all my STP gear just to end up at 99% most of the time anyway... I think I might have only had +38 because I lack Brutal earring?

Since SE has decided to destroy my home, I reactivated my characters so I can at least keep my names. Last night I dinged 76, then accidentally pulled an NM that I didn't know existed and immediately deleveled. The annoying bit is that I could have probably taken the NM if I'd been ready for it, but I was already in the yellow with half my abilities/spells down. I didn't even realize I was fighting anything other than a normal crab at first, then I noticed my HP was red. I had just enough to time to realize what happened before I died.

Fergot: Atma of the Griffon's Claw.

That Puk (Waugyl) is way more of a bitch than expected. Make sure you stun White Wind, especially under 25%. It's fun to have 3k HP on DRK and be the only melee still standing after Ill Wind and Wind Shear spam though.

Got a prouesse ring without really particularly trying, just killing crabs for a trial in zeruhn. Also, 120/600 aquans done on my salamand sword. xD

DING 90 Dark!!! Fully merited, leveled into bale necklace, have bale legs, hands, helm finished. 8 seals from body and 1 seal from feet. Have twilight scythe and mail. Got to see death proc on three mobs in a row. Was an epic weekend for xp and getting skill ups.

Then yesterday I used drk/mnk to tank a few things in aby just to see how it went. Was a nice change of pace, we were able to get my gf her blur mantle. Need to get goading belt still. Working on atma of GL. I have ace's leggings already. Want to pick up the bale belt and earring. Other then that not sure what else to pick up gear wise. Really loving dark. If I'm dding in aby, I just throw on SS, Apoc, RR and watch the crit hit damage fly.

Tried to have gear ready to go for when I hit 90. Other then emp weapons or trial weapons anyone have any suggestions for gear? I'm working on twilight helm as well, but have the 12 str 20 attack neg acc helm till shin feels inclined to drop the helm for me. Still need a uthers grip. Use bomb core in ammo slot. Brutal earring, bale choker, rajas ring and heed ring for tp, but switch in spiral for ws. Have to brew Rani again for ring and grip. I use athling mantle, swift belt till I get goading, warwolf for ws, bale legs for ws and perle for haste, need ace's still. Aces leggings for feet tp set and perle feet for ws till I pick up better or finish bale feet.

Thank you for the reply. I think I have a pop set for the belt boss nm so may have to give that a try.

Also the reason I'm not focused on trial wep for drk at this time is until my ls gets another nin or blu to go to events, I'm typically going to events on one of those jobs. So I'm working on emp katana, evasion katana and a -pdt sword.

That 513 delay is going to drive me insane. I've a 5-hit addiction now. I think I may seek a Woeborn instead until I get my Penitence coins...

PLD +1 legs complete, 4/10 Body. This is a DRK ding because it helps me get Penitence.

Edit: I hate to say this was my most productive day ever, but I went and DRK/MNK tanked Granite Borer and got COR and DNC +1 heads done.

DRK/DNC with OA2-4 scythe. Got in good standing with some soloist NINs (basically by proving I could handle things myself, wasn't expecting their support, and knew how the mob rush system worked) and did tons of runs with them, everyone just stays solo instead of partying up so you don't kill everyone if and when you do @#%^ up and link or agro. A few times a day (I said 24 hours but that was spread out over a weekend) a group would come in to clear slimes or crabs and I'd take 1st-3rd every time just by being obscenely indestructible and soloing sh*t, but really there were only 4 or 5 area clears while I was there, spread between dozens of solo farming runs. Got two bags of Birth for 9 and 10 coins and the rest were single drops (only the last two were contested by a dickhead Xcal PLD). Also got two bags of Glory both in a 1st place chest for 9 each, will probably do CDC sword for the meantime and swordchuck it with Almace if I ever get one, and closed out a ton of Decay coins which have nothing better to do than GS.

Just pay attention to how it's done. Different soloists like mobs to be killed in different places, usually at the bottom of the stairs on Antlions but crabs can be trickier cause they'll path weird, so just pay attention, that's the most important sh*t, and never kill a mob where you're fighting it.
