Is the Occ attacks 2-4 times Khanda +2 worth having for offhand when dual-wielding? I'm interested in getting one for the tp boost but i'm wondering if thats the best sword for a job I.E. the best sword to offhand if using Almace or Badelaire 2?
Seems like with enlight particularly for the duration of it fighting a normal mob, the proc effect on 2-4x hits would be stronger than the seemingly much harder to build, occassionally attacks twice version.
Any thoughts?

I believe the general consensus on the 2-4 is that it hurts more than it helps due to the high delay and low damage. I don't know if this holds true outside Abyssea but inside they lose because of DA/TA Atma.
TP Bonus Swords don't work in offhand slot. Not sure about WS Damage or STP options.

Oh ok. Well if thats the case, yeah i'm wondering about for outside of abyssea. So I still want to know that.

Honorbound, STR or DEX path Magian Swords are good as well. Obvsiously as the level caps rise the Magians will keep getting better but Honorbound will lose some of its luster.

Ok thanks for the helpful replies. I will probably use the multi-hit weapons outside of abyssea and honorbound or another weapon inside.
I built a 2-4 Khanda +2 for my BLU (the tp gain comes in handy when dual wielding and prepping for CA+SC), but I've only used it twice on my PLD. Both were for Avatar gil making runs - the 2-4 shines through there because of enspells, which are a major source of damage on the Avatars. It just loses a lot of luster as a main hand sword. I'd consider off-handing it to an Almace if I were dual-wielding, but that's about it.
The main swords I use now are either my Joyeuse or my Honorbound, depending on circumstances and personal feel.

On the 2-4 its actually a few things not just the +30 delay.
1. DA/TA from gear and Atma have dropped the value of Occasionally Attack X weapons because they don't work together (Jailer weapons are the exception to this of course). This is honestly the biggest factor as you can get DA +5-10% (depends if you use VV, add 10% if /WAR) and a TA rate of 15-30% (you "should" at least be using Apocalypse or Alpha/Omega)
2. Joyeuse DMG: 35, Khanda +2 OA2-4 DMG: 29, Shamshir +2 DMG: 54. 6 less DMG from the "old favorite" and 25 less than Shamshir +2. The 6 isn't a big deal but the 25 is, it puts the swords on very different levels when it comes to damage (not counting the STR/Atk benefits from fire path)
3. Joyeuse has a 45% proc rate, and Khanda +2 has roughly a 60% 2-4 proc rate (50%~ of that will be a double). These numbers are what I've seen from others' testing not my own.
4. Joyeuse Delay: 224 , Khanda +2 OA2-4 Delay: 264, Shamshir +2 Delay: 230 So a 40 delay compared to Joyeuse and a 34 difference with the Shamshir +2, this isn't "huge" but keep in mind dual wielders generally aim for lowest delay/high damage ratio. Khanda +2 is high delay/low damage compared to other options.

Exactly, it's positively amazing. Dual wield it with a Joyeuse mainhand, go for a nice shield (Or i guess Khanda +2 and +1 if that's possible).
With the right atma's (and a little bit of luck on multi's), you can hit stuff up with a 2000+ Sanguine Blade atleast every 6 seconds. Which also heals you for a good 1000. You'd be an unstoppable fortress of swinging defensive power. You'd have to fight something really crazy for this not to work.

I can't see why it would be different for swords (maybe it is..some SE crazy coding?) But TP bonus daggers work in the offhand slot.
