What type of gear set would i need to start Fell CleaveingFollow
Hey am looking at what I would need to start doing a Fell Cleaveing party, my war is going to be 90 with almost no gear but I have a 90 mnk that is geared up
WAR and MNK gear don't really overlap much. You could just do Cataclysm on your MNK witht he right atmas. As for WAR specifically. A PDT set to pull in (along w/ Hermes' sandals) is a good start. Then just a high STR WS set. Odds are you aren't gonna be cleaving anything particularly evasive, so just go full out and you should be fine.
Is there anyway to pull without a PDT set because alot of them items i can't get
STR to max the Fell Cleave damage with the right atmas. Do you have Razed Ruins, Voracious Violet and some others?
-PDT is nice if you're taking a lot of damage but the most important factor is having a competent White Mage, and
-a competent puller like a Thief or Ninja to round up sound/sight aggro mobs like chigoes, couerls, etc.

I think the key to Cleaving is having a good mage to back you up. That's the most important thing, hands down.

My(Crap) Cleaving set is the following
Twilight Helm
Grim Cuirass
Ravager's Mufflers +2(Heavy Gauntlets don't exist on Cerb, Melaco Mittens are still rare and pricey)
Ravager's Legs+2(Because there are no -pdt pants worth wearing. Well the ones from birareus but I kept tossing them.)
Ruffian Leggings
2x -4%PDT Dark Rings(I could never get anything higher, Jelly Ring better than one of those at least) The Dark Rings go up to -6%PDT which is great, but I just never saw them(Also -mdt)
Nierschuntz? Idk, -pdt waist from Turul.

None of this was all that hard to get(Besides Twilight Helm, which was pretty uncommon for me)
Grim Cuirass and Ruffian Leggings can both be purchased off AH, along with Heavy Gauntlets(Which probably don't exist on your server either) and Melaco Mittens(Which are far to pricey for me).
The -Pdt waist is generally a junk drop from Turul.
There's also Metallon Mantle(-4%) from Quetzalli in Abyssea-Tahrongi, but he never seemed to put out for me.
The Dark Rings can be farmed by any job that can make amber/pearl easily. Or you can get Jelly Ring/Patronus Ring even easier.
Twilight Torques drop like rain from any Shinryu. I also use a Killer Shortbow while cleaving, activates somewhat often and not like much else is going to help in this situation. There's a bunch of other -pdt gear that might be obtainable for you with little effort as well(Colossus Mantle, Earring? Also Dark Earrings from Abys-Vunkerl quest).
Gil and time are all you need for a crap pdt set, and honestly, that's enough for the mobs you would most likely cleave(Mandy's, Chigoes, Frogs, Coeurls in Tahrongi maybe).
If you're getting Phalanx at least. I only cleave with Rdm or Sch, never did the whole Perfect Defense thing, or had a need for anyone to actually cure me.

Alot of the gear i can't get yet such as the Twilight Helm and Twilight Torque and alot of the nm drops noone does them anymore and the ah items are about 1m per one item so far too much for me atm
Get a beer and a hot redhead, then you will be motivated to cleave 36% harder.
