Seriously, the only difficult one to get is the Beard, and even that most shells sell 'em anyway.

Working mostly (can't view Alla at work but can BG). Playing a lot less than before too, normally only on for events now.
Though I did manage to cap Tomahawk merits. Yay me. And got a barone body for added sexiness.

I think that it helps our LS leader was one of the monks. We get points for doing KS99 and everyone gets a split. Usually if we do a couple I end up with points and about 250k if I don't use an orb.

Meh, without getting into the debate over haste and movement speed, I've been wanting these for a while. I think they are very beneficial for places like nyzul where you are constantly moving. The positive additional stats are also very nice. Arguments can and have been made that in high movement situations the 1% higher haste difference can easily be negated by arriving at a target 12% slower if you aren' perfect with your stand swapping.

Also I was standing in Aurum Hands before. Now I can stand and possibly accidentally swing in 2% haste and dex +5 instead of swinging in no haste dex +2, str +2 and attk +12 (or whatever) and acc -5.

While it's not ideal, it is certainly useful.

I would use them as idle hand gear if i ever got them. since most people just use ws hand gear for idling, most typically nhands/+1. even though I used spellcast, the chance that nhands+1 didn't swap out or something messed up always worried me so i used alkys as idle hand gear instead (has a lot more HP+ too, so that helps.. I guess)

Red...

When you came to caitsith you told me you got askar manopolas after you got them in nyzul and i called you gimp. You then proceeded to tell me you wanted them to use for stand swap so you didn't accidentally swing in heca. I thought that was a really good reason and that is the entire reason I started wanting them.

I know I wasn't hallucinating...

Maz, I have said countless times I am on PS2. Just because you suddenly decided to adopt spellcast doesn't mean everyone did it with you. Maybe I am the only one that pays attention to what people post lol...

i never told you i have askar hands, maybe you're thinking feet? thats the only askar piece i have. but i've had askar feet for a long long time. maybe you're thinking of someone else? i didn't even do much nyzul on caitsith because if you spent your points and get people together, you aren't guaranteed any piece to be yours for lotting only.

Yes I am positive. Before that we then got into our lovely askar head discussion, and started talking about how various pieces are useful and others useless. So I was joking with you when yo told me about hands and I said you were gimp. I've told you when i obtained Goliard hat and you talked about how at least that was useful, etc. Seriously were you on some heavy drugs? lol

Also, maz i am never quite sure with you lol

Askar Zucchetto get! Now time to try for Askar hands and make a mean ass polearm build for birds (which is an area that I would suggest Askar over Dusk if you have a good dex build to get capped or near capped crits).

Nyzul has been very good to me lately. In the last two times Ive gone (4 runs total) I have gotten Askar Body (for drg only!) and Head. My dragoon is a happy camper as well.

me saying i have something like askar hands when i don't isn't like me... sober, drunk, on pot, on kratom or whatever intoxication i could have been on. surprisingly, im not the type to lie or try to look better through lying. maybe i said i wanted to get them from nyzul and you thought i said i had them?

but the real question is, were you on something? =P

Got Askar Manopolas yesterday, which seems coincidental.
Went on a pick up flr60 run, and the first run we did askar hands dropped and I got the 2nd highest lot. But, I decided to stay for another run and BAM! Askar hands drop again! This time I got the highest lot. =) Also won the Gessho fight just before so it was a pretty good night.

That was the first time I had seen any Askar gear drop. Haven't had the chance to try them out in a merit party, I came on here to read the thread about Askar Hands vs. Dusk Gloves and saw this and thought I should post. Grats on the helm KWiley and LordM on the hands as well.

there you go, and intoxication is the best way to play! i cant tell you the number of times i've wondered why my character (or keyboard) does what i tell it to without talking back. what a wuss of a laptop. but sometimes it periodically changes the keyboard input language for NO REASON at all, so i have to give it some credit for thinking outside the box.
