i find that people just use warrior to later on become DRK or PAL but thats obvious.i think that warrior is better then those 2.if a DRK is a damage dealer and PAL a tank, shouldnt warrior be the best of the 3? he,s a damage dealer(sort of) and a tank (again, sort of) am i making any sense or is this useless blabbering to you? anyway,i like my taru warrior, and i,ll stick with it forever.actually,i like it that some servers like my own dont have much warriors,it makes me unique, especially being a taru.......gotta go

I have played RDM until level 47, and now I've started playing WAR and have it at level 20. To me, the two jobs are very similar.

The RDM is the jack-of-all trades. At the start, this includes melee, but it starts to diminish and he becomes the flexible "fill-in-the-gaps" caster in the back. Yeah, you can still melee, but your real strength is your casting.

The WAR seems like the RDM of the front lines. You start off being one of the best tanks and a solid damage dealer. As you get PLD's and DRK's, you are no longer the best of either, but you are still able to fill both roles. You can use your subjob to adjust this a little (ex: sub PLD or MNK to be a better tank, DRK or THF to do more damage) the same way that an RDM will sub different mage classes to shift their focus. Also, the WAR is able to use more weapons than any other class. As long as you have several weapon skills leveled to acceptable levels, and have some decent wepaons on you, you are guaranteed to be able to fill in the gaps in any skillchains that the team is trying to do. You become the "Red Warrior", filling in the gaps in the front lines like the "Red Mage" fills in the gaps in the back.

Cloud, many discussions on the boards about this, but Warrior is just different then a DRK and a PLD, has he can be an awesome damage dealer, or a great tank. It all depends on how you play it :)

Of course this is at higher levels, but still...

WAR/SAM. Raging rush, rampage... hell, considering that WAR has a B skill in nearly every weapon except Great Axe, Axe (best weapons) and Hand to Hand (worst, at B)...

You can have ANYTHING leveled up. Almost ANY WS you want, except if it's job specific.

Spam Pentathrust. Rampage. Raging Rush. Vorpal Blade. Anything.

Or, if you prefer keeping the hate on you...

WAR/NIN. While it's full power is only revealed at lvl 74 (37 nin sub for utsusemi:ni), it's still easily one of the best tankers in the game... if not THE best, as contrary to the paladin you take absolutely no damage whatsoever, if timed right.

Be the true warrior class of the game. :)

hmm, taru melee is very difficult to play cuz of ur low HP ... a major disadvantage if u have to be at the frontline to absorb damages....again i have stressed this before in other threads....IMO, no single job class is better than another....this game is about balance....all jobs are meant to compliment each other ^.^
