Congratulations!!

For Atmas, I currently use MM, Beyond, Baying for nuking because I do not have Ultimate yet either. (I just finished getting my chips and we are popping him this weekend!! YAY!!) For staggers, I use MM, MMatriarch, Impregnable Tower/Apoc. I used to always go Apoc until I started /brd for staggers, so now I pile on the MACC. I love Matriarch for the Fast Cast superior as well. If you are having problems landing spells, you probably want to consider Matriarch, but others I would stick with MAB.

Here is what I currently use.

Grip: Bugard +1
Ammo: Witchstone
Rings: I have 1 +5 and 1 +7 INT rings (snow and augmented diamond) ... I cannot justify paying 1mil for a ring for anther 2 INT
Neck: Goetia or Artemis? I use Goetia, but that is because I don't know that I have ever heard of Artemis (would love more opinions on this)
Back: Searing (I have both and use Searing for the MAB)
Earrings: Which two: Hecate's, Moldavite, Goetia (Novia isn't going to happen). I can farm Hecate's if needed. Goetia and Moldy until you get Hecate's, then Hecate's and Moldy.
Waist: Cognizant or Searing? I had both and started using the Cognizant more. I don't have any hard tests, but just from eyeballing, it seemed to me that I was doing more damage with the added INT in this slot than the MAB.

When ES isn't up, you could also use Ascetics Tonic to help land /BRD songs for staggers. When I've soloed as BST/NIN, Ascetics Tonic seemed to help quite a bit getting Kurayami to land.


Artemis will beat Goetia for pure damage depending on the moon phase. Unless you're using spellcast, you might find it quite annoying setting up appropriate macros and adjusting based on the moon phase.

I like to be able to kill NQs and other stuff between NM pops. So I just go with my max damage Atma setup, and swap in the "wrong" elemental staff for the proc I'm trying to trigger.

That is an excellent idea! I always get frustrated with abnormally low numbers when I am farming regular mobs between pops. I typically switch out my gear when staggering as well, so I don't get any set procs. I am working towards a fast cast set, so I could probably switch between fast cast and idle while staggering, then put the goetia set back on between procs.

The more int the better for rings. I think there is a ring now with MAB on it but its a pain to get.
Goetia Neck
Goetia to start with and Searing also. I use Twilight cape on the right day of week.
Hecatates and Moldavite
Cognizant
Minikin for sure, Beyond and baying is fine till ultimate. Merciless Matriach is not needed.


Nomral Mobs I can do 95% dmg with Bliz 5. Just need a Blizzard to finish off. Then I can tier IV, III, and II the next kill. (Resist do factor in)

Right now my normal abyssea dmg is around 5100 cap.

You cant beat the elemental trial weapons. At least do Ice and Thunder.

So,

After playing around on blm90/sch45, I have my own experiences to add here. The thing to remember here is that you need to be able to contribute on blm/brd. Also, I have much more enjoyable experiences when I can reliably land an very big nuke instead of put out terrible damage and then every so often drop a massive nuke. Consistency ftw. So, I have found that I prefer:

Grip: Bugard +1
Ammo: Witchstone
Rings: Int
Neck: Goetia
Back: Goetia
Earrings: Goetia and Moldevite. If I had Hecate's I'd use Goetia and Hecate's to keep the accuracy.
Waist: Cognizant
Hands: AF

Atma: I picked up Ultimate, and I use it with Minkin Monstrosity and Beyond. Prior to Ultimate I used Baying Moon with Minikin Monstrosity and Beyond.

This is an example of my six-line macros:
Bliz4
/ma "Blizzard 4" <t>

So, I swap staff, body, head, and legs.
Elemental: Goetia Petasos +1, Literae Coat, Teal Slops, Staff
Dark: Goetia Petasos +1, Literae Coat, Wizard's Tonban, Staff
Enfeebling: Igqira Tiara, Wizard's Coat, Igqira Lappas, Staff

This might not be the best way, but it has worked very well for me. It is at least one feasible way to do things. I sold off two ksnm99 orbs (and one run did get a BB item, grats to them!) to buy a lot of gear, but even if you use NQ staves it's nice, and the Igqira head and legs are cheap.
