BLM Merit QuestionFollow

Hi All,

Please forgive this rather naive question, I have searched the Internets and cannot find an answer.

BLM can get Flood II (and the rest of these II spells) through merit points only.

My question is, do I need Flood I, before I can buy Flood II. I have most of the tier I ancient magic spells, but am reluctant to buy the rest if I can just wait until 75 and get the II versions through merits.

Hope I can be lazy (cheap)

Yes you can unlock Flood II without using a scroll for Flood. Unfortunately, that will get you nowhere, as you will practically never cast Flood II, and cast Flood I all the time for Grellow proc.

if your havnt bought it already(noticing the date on the post) i suggest you do so. as was stated already, flood 2 is seldom used. flood 1 however is a yellow proc, so you will use it when water is the proc element. and every spell in the blm arsenal is a potsntial proc for voidwatch. so i personally suggest grabbing as many spells as you can.
