Added a great new study under the Elemental Staves section by CevanCerberus showing that staves affect resists!
EDIT: Somehow, a ? ended up in my thread title instead of the ™ that is supposed to be there....thats kind of annoying.

hey sue, i've been looking for a while this afternoon for the following thread... i think you should throw in into the tomb, since for blms 74+, soloing/duoing elementals is just awesome.

Some people say it reduces resists in general, some say onyl redices resists of whm debuffs, and some say that it only increases potency of whm debuffs.

I haven't done any definitive tests or anything to back it up, but here's what I've gathered from lots of forum-browsing:
Shock of course lowers MND

Shock therefore, reduces MND and increases damage from spells; not like DoT damage from dia (for example), but it will increase the small amount of damage you inflict just from casting the spell, and of course it affects nuke damage.
Resist rate SHOULDN'T have anything to do with shock, because INT is supposed to be the stat responsible for Magic Eva., meaning the chance of a partial or full resist.

Would be useful here b/c it isn't stickied.
These mobs hit a little harder since the RNG re-adjustment but its still good exp and valuable knowledge.

It doesn't include Skillchains or anything. I made it so I have a quick guide, at a glance. (I printed it out on 4"x6" cards and keep it next to my computer when I'm playing. It's nice to have when you forget what is weak to what.
