Hey,
I'm just coming back into the game and bringing my brother with me for his first time around. We are looking at Charing him up quickly, I am wondering if rdms are still the solo artists they used to be back when I used to play (75 level cap 09). I do have many jobs in the 60 or higher so leveling some of them up is not a big deal. When I played last rdms were the most versatile soldiers in the game. I am wondering if this is still true. Any input will be good thanks.

RDM still a solo artist?Follow
Rdm can still solo but they're not the kings anymore. Right now, NIN is on top with BLU at second. I've still seen RDM still do some amazing solos though, but its not anything like the Archaic kite/DOT strats years ago.
Depends on the type of solo, but it's pretty much a safe bet that if it can be meleed, a NIN/THF/DNC/DRG will probably do it a heck of a lot faster. BLM and SCH are likely to win for nuking fights.
Are you talking about soloing levels or NMs?

Nms and missions mostly. Looking to solo or duo the rest of zilart CoP and original missions.

yes, leveling and mission solos are great for rdm, at level 85+ all of CoP is easily done solo by rdm, based on my experience. and if you are gonna duo with your brother, no matter what his job, rdm is the best duo partner for anything anywhere even abyssea nm fights.
