Seven seals toward upgrading my empyrean body piece and fighting Yaguarogui is getting tiresome. Emperador de Altepa is an option but from the looks of the wiki it's more work for an even smaller chance at getting a seal. My question is...
What's the deal with Bomblix Flamefinger?
I'd like to give this guy a shot but two problems are in the way. For starters, Goblin Gunpowder has never been sold on my server. Thanks to this, I've also found out that Burstrox Powderpate poses quite the challenge. Not only is he difficult but I'm 0/3 on the Gunpowder.
I only need three seals but a very good friend of mine is going to need seven more, if it's possible to expedite the process it'd be great to know.

To be honest, the tiger is the easiest of the three. Emperador's needles suck, and goblin's frag bomb (I believe it's like discoid) sucks just as much without lots of bodies to absorb it. :/
As a side note tho, Emperador is comfortably trioed by blm, blu and bst with pet pdt-98%~100% set.

You can also do Slacking Subordinates - it might take a fair bit of time, but chances are, so have your NM efforts. I dunno, got all mine from that, but I also wanted WAR and BLU seals.

I've been padding the time when my friends are unavailable with The Egg Enthusiast. Unfortunately no matter where I bring the egg from that little Taru won't play ball and give me a seal of any kind. I'll give Slacking Subordinates a go tonight. What was your experience with the quest like?

It takes about 6-7 minutes a run. I think some people warp and reenter to shave that down a bit (or at least, time in zone). Still, it's dirt simple to do, everything is always in the same place n' so on.

If you think Powderpate is actually difficult, I would advise against going after Flamefinger. >_>
As for drop rate on gunpowder, I can't really say do much for certain about it because I've only fought Powderpate once, but I went 1/1 on it. It seems to be rarer than other T2 NM pop items (Teekesselchen, for instance, drops a pop item for Ironclad more often than he does not, in my experience). It may be rare, but it's not like Ansherekh -> Tiger King Hide rare.
I would have to agree that the tiger is probably easiest to go after if you're taking the NM route.

On brd with +8% movement and mazurka, it took me around 4 minutes every run of doing Slacking Subordinates, warping back to Jeuno after every completion. I got 10 blu seals really quickly, but only 3 rdm in that time, sev
