I've been wondering this for awhile now, and while I know what some other jobs can produce, I really want to know what rdm can do to see if I stack up, or if I could be doing better.
Now I'm not asking for you to tell me what you farm or where you farm... unless of course you want to share that information. Also, I don't want to know about how much gil per hour hnm hunting or bcnm-ing or anything of that nature, as that stuff is hit or miss. I'm talking about real, grind it out farming. Like staying in the same zone and killing the same mob(s) over and over again to generate either gil or drops.
Right now as 75 RDM/THF I can produce between 80-150k per hour depending on drops... The area I farm nets straight gil drops off some NM's plus scroll drops. I make 60k GUARANTEED in just gil alone in one hour plus really nice scroll drops. Most can be NPC'd for 4-6k and some go for upwards to 50k on the AH.
My own personal rule is I need to make 100k a day. If I can make 100k in one day, That more than covers consumables I will use for the day, and tele's and what not, plus a large portion to my "savings" account mule, and obviously allows for the random purchase of desired gear. So the faster I can get 100k in one day, the faster I can go on to other things.
So I'm able to do 100k/hr for the most part on average although I've hit for more, and I've hit for less... in the grand scheme of things, how good is this for rdm? I know other jobs kill much faster than rdm therefore DD's can probably generate many more drop opportunities (kills) in one hour than I can, therefore allowing them to generate more gil per hour... in theory. So comparing myself to a DD isn't really an apples to apples comparison.
So basically just wondering what some of you guys can produce on a CONSISTENT, per hour basis as a rdm main.
